The shop front of All Sorts declares it's part of the Whitefriars Project. This for me conjures up some sort of zombie disease research project happening in an underground concrete lab somewhere in City West, funded by this thrift store, the C.I.A and a secret oligarch of multi-national corporations. A hive of evil scientists who've sold their lives and identities to a black ops project, attempting to manipulate the human genome and create an army of flesh devouring soldiers of the night.
So, I looked it up thinking I might be able to hack into their mainframe and write an exposé on this Godless corprate abomination against nature.
Humanity were lucky this time, Whitefriars Project simply refers to the project to maintain the Carmelite church next door.
All Sorts is one of the many thrift stores in this neighbourhood, it's not as busy as the Oxfam Shop down the road and can often have some real little gems at ludicrously good prices.
So, three stars not the best stocked thrift store in the vicinity but still a good one. You never know what you'll find there, I mean I found the plot of Dan Brown's next novel. read more
