When I arrived (about 1.25 hours before the party start time), the I in my daughter's name wasn't working though. They had to send someone to bring a new one or bring in a tech. They did that though and it was ready before the party started (but it was down to the minute). That was the only hiccup that I saw (which is great as the host).

It felt soooooo weird, but I'm glad I tried!! Then they opened the floor for social dancing and it got surprisingly crowded. This is a very safe environment. Security checks your bag. I came solo and felt perfectly fine. Many people were solo, guys and female. So, it's a cool vibe. Of course there were couples and groups of people that came together. But in the dance community, it's fine to go solo. People are respectful and really respect dancing. I will say, this is the sort of environment where people are taking classes and coming here to practice, along with plenty of instructors dancing. So there's a lot of flair and showmanship. I was thinking, am I at Dancing With The Stars or what, lol!! Lot's and lot's of turns and endless turn patterns. Less musicality. That's what makes it not my style so much, but a lot of fun for others. The classes were about 1 hour each, organized, and gave you a taste of the different styles. The instructors told everyone where they teach so you could take more classes. As with anyplace, some leads are fantastic and easy to follow, and other leads are still learning and practicing how to lead, so it can be bumpy dancing with them. Especially if its a first time dancing together. Other leads were really smooth and easy and fun to follow. There's a full bar selling beer, wine, and mixed drinks. If you bring a water bottle, it must be empty and they will fill it with water for you. Or you can purchase bottled water. I had a pretty good time and danced several songs and learned Salsa on 2. If I could compare anything to ifly, it's like a safer, less intense,…read moreless expensive, and more fun sky-diving without the two hour drive to a random field and wait for a rickety plane. Ifly provides a sustained flying experience using a powerful wind tunnel that propels you and that you can control with the help of your instructor and your own body movement. While each flight only lasts about a minute, it feels much longer with the overload of senses and adjusting to a new experience. The whole staff was great - super patient, welcoming, and genuinely wanting you to have a good time and take in the experience. I especially appreciated Andrew explaining some of the science behind you being lifted in the air and floating and providing a chance to test out different movements. Ifly also does a great job providing STEM learning opportunities for students. When I arrived they had different objects floating and were talking through the aerodynamics and physics of each. While the experience is quick, lasting about a minute per flight, it is memorable, unique, and about 1/4th the price of sky diving and I would argue a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Ethan is an absolutely fantastic iFLY instructor. As an experienced flyer, I wanted to introduce my…read moretwo grandsons, ages 10 and 12, to indoor skydiving and help them begin developing real flying skills. This was only their second time flying, and Ethan's ability as a gifted instructor was immediately apparent. We purchased five minutes of block time for each boy, divided into three 90-second sessions. By the end of those sessions, Ethan had both boys flying in a stable belly-neutral position and performing controlled turns. Watching their confidence and ability improve so quickly was amazing. Ethan has a remarkable way of explaining techniques so they make sense to young flyers. He was patient, encouraging, safety-conscious, and able to adjust his instruction to each boy individually. His coaching methods simply clicked with them, and the results spoke for themselves. We were extremely impressed with Ethan and the entire experience. We plan to continue their training with him and would highly recommend Ethan to anyone looking for a skilled, professional, and genuinely talented instructor.
