We've always had issues with hidden charges and a front office that doesn't follow through on what was discussed with our Dr. The office is mostly outdated, barren and really not a warm and inviting place for children. Every time I visit this office, I leave upset. The only time I have received stellar service was when Dr. Gonzalez worked there. The rest of the doctors are not pleasant to work with. I have had my child misdiagnosed because the doctor didn't want to listen or was in a rush to see another patient. I noticed that my friend would rave about her pediatrician and how she would thoroughly check her child at each visit to make sure she was meeting her milestones. I had to ask her to elaborate on this because never received any service near that at All-Starr Pediatrics. The visit that really angered me was when I took my child in to have his foot examined. My child's nail was coming off as it was lifted from the nail bed. During the visit, the doctor asked me if I had a pair of clippers. When I replied no, she told me no problem and that I could cut it when I got home. Note: my infant had a toe nail that was hanging off of his toe but was loose enough to fall off. The doctor didn't culture the nail or even examine it for what I thought was a sufficient amount of time. I could have done what she (Dr. Tamayo) did for me at home. There was no need to waste money to barely be glanced at. The upside to this practice is the staff. The nurses are always pleasant. It would be nice if they were the providers. They have more bedside manner than the doctors. The only reason I use this practice is because it is close to my children's nursery. But that is no longer good enough for me. As the client, I should be treated as a valued partner. I had to wake up and remember that the pediatrician is working for me; it's not the other way around. I need a pediatrician that I can talk to. This is especially important since the relationship will last for about eighteen years. Maybe losing clients will help with the God complex and rudeness the doctors exhibit at All-Starr Pediatrics. read more

I don't know where to start with this office. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Back in May I took both of my daughters (10 mo. and 6 year old at the time) in for Hand, Foot and Mouth. I knew one had strep too. They didn't do anything. I called back in that Saturday morning. I was told to go to CHOA. I ended up at a local urgent care center with my 6 year old. They actually helped and provided proper treatment that got her better within a few days. Her throat was almost swollen shut when we got there due to All Starr not treating her properly. This brings me to the current situation. I took my now 15 mo. in 3 weeks ago for a well check visit and vaccines. They told me to come that afternoon at 3:30, so I did. When I arrived, she said the appointment was for the next day. This is not what I was told. Rather than the cold receptionist working me in, she did not care. Later she told me it was her mistake. I had to go back the next day. I tried to pay upon leaving. I was told there is no charge for well check visits and vaccines. I questioned this. A week later, she was running a fever as I was traveling across the country. I called to set an appointment and have arrangements made for my nanny to bring her in that afternoon. When she arrived, the rude receptionist told her there was a $180 balance from the well check visit that had to be paid before they would see her. They could have told me that morning they made ANOTHER MISTAKE and I would have handled it over the phone vs. then denying care until my nanny paid it. The doctor had an attitude, because I told my nanny to refuse a COVID test. It seems all they care about is COVID AND THE FLU. It's like children don't get colds, strep or sinus infections anymore. 6 days later, she wasn't improving and I had to take her back. They would only see me in the car at this point. Imagine sitting with a very sick 15 mo. old pitching a temper tantrum in a car while the doctor is 25 minutes late. I called in to see when she would be out. Again, the receptionist was only worried about money and payment vs. seeing my sick child and being on time. She even laughed at me waiting in the car. I don't see anything funny about a sick baby. I have never not paid a bill with them and ALWAYS pay at checkout. At this point, I think the put the dollar above children's care, then want to push COVID down everyone's throat. They still didn't properly treat my daughter. They would not prescribe a breathing treatment or medicine for congestion. She is still sick 2 weeks later and I refuse to give this place another dollar, especially since the last doctor told me "We like to give them 5-7 days of having a cold before we do anything for them." This practice has not treated either of my daughters properly. I am not a parent that brings them in unless they are very sick. My records reflect this. The refuse to listen to the mother who knows her child better than anyone. read more

Called the office twice trying to make an appointment for a sick child. Both times had to leave a voicemail. Never received a call back.

Extremely disorganized and lack of bedside manner. This is the first time I have ever left negative feedback for a doctor. We were only with the practice for two weeks and during that time my daughter had some health issues. Their on call system was down, the doctors didn't follow up on voice messages, and we had to rush her to CHOA. 5 days after being at Children's Hospital the physician still did not call instead i received an unprofessional call from the staff explaining to me they got my message and their emergency call system would be ok to use for my next emergency. Needless to say we switched to first Ga and was referred to a proper specialist for the health issue. Still haven't heard from Dr Almond. Worst experience with a pediatrician. If you are new to the area I suggest saving your energy and go to a different practice. read more

Dr. Almond and her staff are fabulous. We never wait very long, The office is always in immaculate condition, everyone is friendly, and I couldn't be happier with choosing All Starr for our toddler. Dr. Almond and Dr. Reddy are always very thorough! I never feel rushed, or judged with my millions of questions. This office comes highly recommended on social media and we now know why! Terrible business practices. Dr. Almond has an abrupt and cold bedside manner. The billing practices are atrocious. I don't recommend.

Y'all. We loved it here at first...but we will NEVER go back. Missed pneumonia...we ended up in the ER, we were brushed off by the on call Dr when my 3 year old had a 105.6 temp (then dr almond called at least daily for a week afterwards...) my child screamed for 30 minutes after our last visit because he was scared and confused. Nope. I'm not the only one. I don't know why others don't write reviews. I wish I would have known sooner. read more

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I'm almost seventeen years old, and I went to see Dr. Almond when I was thirteen years old. I will NEVER forget the horrible experience I had. I was struggling with depression and anxiety issues at this time, as many other adolescents do. In this situation, it is a doctor's job to offer helpful, professional advice; Dr. Almond instead belittled both me and my mom. Asking these questions was very unprofessional and it got to the point of being completely invasive and scarring. We both left her office hurt, downtrodden, and humiliated. My mom later discovered that Dr. Almond coded the visit as something other than a consultation (I'm not sure how this works) and charged an exorbitant fee. Not only is she debasing to adolescents, she's completely unethical. She does not deserve one star. If zero were an option, this would be my rating. If you have any regard for your child's well-being, please DO NOT consider Dr. Almond. I'm giving my account of my one and only visit with Dr. Almond not to be scathing, but to hopefully save another child from having the same experience I did. read more

Journey was the nurse in loving care of my children. I do not know how she kept them calm delivering shots but she song to my young daughter and let my son squezze her arm and they were so quite and no tears. She took her time and really made us feel so welcomed there. I have been part of All starr for three years now and can truly say this was the greastest visits ever. Ask for Journey if you want your kids to drive home happy and asking for stickers because they did such a good job! read more

Dr Almond was absolutely amazing. Not once did I feel that she judged me for any of my parenting decisions. My normally skeptical daughter was immediately put at ease by her and was cooperative, which speaks volumes. read more
