They were very attentive, responsive, and eager to secure the work. Unfortunately, everything changed once the driveway was sealcoated and payment was made. The finished job looked absolutely terrible. The driveway was not properly cleaned or prepared, and the final result appears extremely uneven, almost as if multiple different products were used that do not match. The quality of workmanship was far below what was promised or expected. When I immediately questioned the appearance of the driveway, I was told that everything would "blend together" and look much better after about a week. Unfortunately, that never happened, and the driveway still looks awful. I documented everything with photos and sent them directly to the owner. To his credit, the owner admitted the driveway "did not look good" and stated this was not the quality of work his company normally performs. He also confirmed he was not present when the work was done. Based on that conversation, I expected the issue to be corrected professionally. Instead, I have spent weeks being ignored, avoided, and misled. I repeatedly received messages saying they would "take care of it in the next couple days," yet nobody ever showed up, called, or followed through. After each promise, communication would stop again completely. It has now been over a week since the last promise to fix the driveway, and they continue to avoid my calls and text messages. I have since had two other companies inspect the driveway, and both confirmed the workmanship was extremely poor and that I should be requesting a full refund. What makes this even worse is the way I have been treated throughout this process. Communication became rude and dismissive once there was a problem. A reputable company stands behind its work and communicates honestly with customers. That has not been my experience here. I will be posting photos so others can judge the workmanship for themselves. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company, look elsewhere. They are extremely untrustworthy. They use different company names. Route 1 Roofing, SVM Roofing, and Onyx Sealcoating. They did a poor job of power washing our house, and then they ruined our vinyl siding, trim, doors, cement patio and deck when attempting to stain our wooden deck. They used a sprayer to apply the deck stain, but they did not protect the surrounding areas. They got red stain all over the place and hadn't finished the job before they left and did not come back to clean up the mess they created for two weeks. During that time, the red stain cured on everything. They came back for part of two days to clean up the mess, further damaging our vinyl siding and wooden deck. At that point I messaged them not to come back until we had assessed the situation and authorized them to return. We decided not to have them come back since they only seem to create more damage each time they came. We had to repair/replace all the damaged areas. The company never published or provided their address, only a cell phone number. I was able to obtain a second cell phone number and a couple of email addresses, but of no use. An address we found let us to a condemned building in Norwood, MA. We did send a message to them through the Yelp site, asking for them to pay for damages. They replied to my first message unprofessionally, and then have ghosted us since. This project was conducted in Rhode Island, so I reported them to the RI Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board, but of course, they have no license in Rhode Island. They are now working on our complaint. Bottom line: DO NOT HIRE THEM! I have loads of videos and pictures of their faulty work, but too many to post here.

I recently hired complete paving and masonry for a 3rd job on my property…read more In 2022 they replaced my asphalt driveway and edging, they removed all the landscape timbers and replaced with stone and new asphalt. then in 2025 the front walkway they removed all bricks and landscape timbers and replaced with a paver walkway and matching stone edging. Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. The walkway was redone with grey beacon hill flagstone concrete pavers and a boarder of charcoal concrete pavers. He repaired the brick stairway foundation and refinished it with fieldstone veneer fronts, blue granite treads, and blue mist granite pavers on the landing. To my flower beds, he added Stanstead granite cobblestone edging and retaining wall on the side by my driveway. As a nice finishing touch, he spread loam on the soil along the length of edging and walkway where the lawn had been disrupted, to prep it for us to plant grass seed. Last, but not least, he added a granite step to my shed entrance. It looks beautiful! At every step of the process, Greg was prompt, friendly, patient and informative. He's dedicated to his trade and the job on hand and he's hard-working. As I shared in my first review, he knows his trade exceptionally well, which is reflected in his work. We are so happy with the quality of his workmanship and highly recommend Greg DeLuca and DeLuca Masonry.

I have a large deposit sitting with the city that cannot be refunded until this job is complete. I hired this company and James seemed very competent to do the work. He went to the site to review the work and provided a proposal. I accepted the proposal and gave him a check for $1,250 as a deposit in November 2019. We met there again in January 2020 when he was scheduled to start the work. I gave him another check for $750 at that time. He then explained that the city was asking for something that seemed unreasonable so we scheduled a meeting with the city for clarification on what needs to be done. We met with the city in early March 2020 and James assured me that he understood what needed to be done. Then the quarantine hit. However, it is now December. All contractors have been back to work since May/June. Since July, James continues to make excuses as to why he cannot do the work...from weather to permitting, etc. He also is claiming that his visits to the site are part of his working hours. I would be willing to pay a small fee for the meeting with the city but the initial visit I would consider to be part of his bidding for the job. I highly doubt the rest of the visits he claims to have occurred even happened. He will not answer calls or return calls since February so I am forced to text him. Now I am out $2,000 to him and the $10,000 deposit to the city that he knew I was trying to get back with the completion of this job. He will be hearing from my attorney. He's a total scam artist.

They would arrive late, skip appointments or take two weeks to send the estimate. If I can't trust them to write out an estimate, how can I trust them with the actual project. When I called Westwood Masonry, I was immediately confirmed with an appointment. Roy, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He gave me the estimate immediately after measuring and scoping out the project and discussing my needs. We agreed upon a start date and he told me the project would take roughly three weeks. Roy and his crew arrived a day early (of course after he asked if this was OK). I love it when contractors start their projects as scheduled and don't "ghost". He communicated continuously throughout the job and his entire crew could not have been more professional and with exemplary workmanship. You could tell they all took pride in their work and were true craftsmen. Roy finished in two weeks and a couple of days... finishing the project QUICKER than what he told me. I can't recall the last time this has happened with a contractor. Another thing I like is that Westwood Masonry did not require a hefty deposit to start the work. Frankly, they didn't require any deposit. I often feel that contractors grab a deposit and then you don't see them for several weeks. This job started and they worked every day until it was complete. The finished patio, staircases, walls and firepit came out EXACTLY as envisioned and it all looks fantastic. He did a couple of additional touches as an added bonus. I can tell this patio is going to last for a generation. The quality of work was outstanding.
