Checked on it two months later and was told it had not been ordered. This is over a period of nine months. The boss contacted Lazy Boy and was told it would be ready in 6 weeks. Finally got it. Not good service at all. Happened by there this week, June 16, 2025. The store was locked with Sheriff's Eviction Notice and No Trespassing Notice on the door. After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

I was going to write a five star until we got to the cash register…read more We came over here to purchase and donate toys for a nonprofit organization that sponsors needy and homeless families who would otherwise not have a Christmas. We went through the toy section and were pleasantly surprised at seeing Leggos on sale with a table on which several unicorn Lego toys were placed next to a 30% off placard. We got several among other toys. Got to the register and the cashier rang one at full price. Upon our challenge, he started "apparently it depends on the unicorn". Take out or leave it. To put items on a table marked 30% off and then ring the item at full price is horrible ethics. Sadly, we have been assiduous Kohls customers, especially during holiday season.

Unfortunately as with most transactions at kohls, there was an item marked as a sale price for $27.95, normal is $39..99 Rang up at the $39.99 and the $10.00 we were suppose to get was split across everything purchases. So when we returned the sweater that was miss charged @ $39.99 minus $2.63 (part of ten dollar for spending $25.) they only credit the $37.36 So even though I had still spent over a $100.00 even after the return, my $10.00 turned into $7.27 When I brought this up to both the store manager and corporate customer service. Both had the same answer, that:s our company policy. So the company policy is use false advertising to their advantage to screw customers. So between my wife and I we spent about $350.00 which I returned today. I have no further interest in ever shopping at kohls again.
