The hosts, Michelle and Albert were so friendly and accommodating. We also stayed at this resort with the previous owners and loved it. We didn't hesitate with new owners, it is so convenient to the marina, etc. and were very pleased. We enjoyed meeting Beau, the new fur baby addition to the family. Unaware that it had new owners, we reserved 2 cabins for 3 nights at 80 a night per cabin plus pet deposit. Checked in on Thursday took the kids swimming (nice pool) used the only towls we had (room towls) . On the way back from the pool we asked for fresh towls to shower. We were very rudely told we were not supposed to use those towls at the pool . I explained we had no others and did not know we were not allowed to use them . She then very grudgingly got up and got us 3 towels ( for 2 rooms 8 people) and scolded me again for using them. I felt so bad I told her if she like I would take them and wash them. (No washer on site) SATURDAY asked AGAIN for clean towls and was told NO WE USED OURS AT THE POOL. 8 people now not showered for 3 days because we can't dry off with clean towls. Also they watched everything you did. We were extremely uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay again. And will tell everyone why. Also FYI. Others at the pool were also talking about how bad customer service was.. 6-9 thru 6-12 2022

For example, the coffee machine wasn't working well, and they had us a brand new one in 30 min. When the Internet went out, they brought someone out that same day to fix it! The customer service was excellent! We rented a pontoon there - great experience! And they have so many activities and amenities included for all ages. There was some confusion when we checked in as they said there were only a "few steps" to manage to get to our room. It was on the second floor with a full flight of stairs to ascend to get to the room. This wasn't happening and we were checking in pretty late to begin with so I was a bit worried. They did end up getting us something on the ground floor, so that was nice of them. We did end up in the units way far away from the pool and shops. Side note: If you have ever had the unpleasantries of not being able to walk, I do not recommend, not 10/10, not even 1/10... it sucks. I am sorry if you are dealing with that at all. Anyway. Back on track. Rooms are fairly large that we have had and kind of feel like an apartment more than hotels. Beds are comfy, they are clean, and it's pretty quiet around. Some of the appliances had to have been bought before this place was even built as there are numerous versions of straight up analog shit all up in the rooms. It's like a travel back in time. They have some nice pools and decent poolside bars and food places. The wings we had there were quite good, but that's another review. There are lots of things to do nearby and a few restaurants in the area that are pretty good. One place we ate was outstanding. The best carrot cake I have ever had. I think it starts with a J. GPS worked great at got us right to the registration building. Registration went very smooth with Nyx checking us in. We were in Condo 5 in Hamilton Cove. The outdoor pool was within walking distance and was enjoyed by my daughter's family. My wife and I took advantage of Tuesday Bingo at the local community center. Everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The condo kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals for my family. Suggestion please sharpen the prep knives in the wood block. I was grateful I brought my own, a larger skillet and pot. All appliance worked perfectly. There were 4 adults and 3 kids. The condo accommodated is very well. My daughter had a Tesla and there was a local charging station within 4 miles of our condo. We took advantage of mini golf, bowling, hiking, grocery shopping at Harps, and Dollar General. All were located closely to our area. We drove down to the Fairfield Marina but did not take advantage of any of the activities. I left my golf clubs at home, but there was an 18 hole golf course nearby. My daughter and her kids visited the local cave.
