Booked a physical for pre-op clearance. Received no advance instructions about fasting or medications. Arrived on time. Waited more than an hour even though there were no other patients. An admin finally took my blood pressure and temperature. More waiting. When I expressed my frustration to the admin (clearly but politely) she said I was intimidating her as a female. The doctor finally arrived; listened to my heart, my breathing and looked down my throat. That was it. So basically no medical care was rendered but plenty of discourtesy and disrespect were dispensed. read more

Walked in with the intention of seeing someone as I have a chest injury, hoping for a doctor to write an order for mri screening. Innitially walking in, I was met with a grim mad face, while explaining my muscular problem, I was interrupted and told I was in the wrong place. I was spoken to as if I was stupid; "You need to go to an urgent care" she told me. I said "isn't urgent care in your establishments name", I was rudely and aggressively told no. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! All Care urgent care on Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda advertises "Immediate Care" and "Walk-ins Welcome" on the outside of their building in white lettering on a red background. That's a lot of attention to draw to a claim that's NOT true. I went there because I was sick and needed care--like anyone who chooses an urgent care clinic. I spent nearly an hour filling out registration paperwork and providing medical samples. When I was almost finished, the receptionist casually asked if I wanted to come back in two hours. Of course I said no--if I could wait two hours, I wouldn't be at an "urgent" care. There were 2 patients in the wait area the entire hour plus that I was there, but they were "booked." Then I was told there was suddenly a "glitch" with my insurance--something I have never experienced anywhere else. I calmly asked one basic question: how long until I could be seen? Instead of a clear answer, a little man, with an apparent Napoleon complex, came out and immediately escalated the situation--speaking down to me from below, posturing, and acting as though authority itself was the point. The interaction felt less like healthcare and more like a power trip, after which I was simply told they would not see me at all. This place is disorganized, misleading, and deeply unprofessional. I can't speak to the medical care, since I did not get any, but if the doctors are as bad as their front office help, it's an even better reason to avoid the place. If you are sick and actually need timely care, do yourself a favor and go somewhere that means what it says when it claims to offer "immediate" care. read more

Would give this place zero stars if I could. I had an appointment for 10:30 and did not see the doctor until 11:30 even though there was only one other patient in the office. The doctor (Dr. Adams) was nice enough but he prescribed me z-pack for an ear infection which I subsequently learned is not standard of care for an ear infection because I had to go back to another doctor after it has not healed to get augmentin, which is standard of care...He also sent the Rx to the wrong pharmacy so I had to go back to the office to get the prescription because no one answered the phone. Worst Customer Service Experience in DC Avoid ALLCare located at 3500 Wisconsin Ave. The most unprofessional receptionist I've ever dealt with in a healthcare setting: Today was a very hectic day--my son was sick, and I booked an appointment online for this evening, December 23rd at 6:00 PM. I didn't have time to complete the pre-registration. When we arrived, the receptionist, with an attitude and without any greeting or welcome, said: "You haven't pre-registered, and you only have 15 minutes to do it." I completed the pre-registration and uploaded both of my insurance cards while she was chatting and laughing loudly with coworkers (we were the only patients there). Then she called me over and said I needed to pay a copay. I explained I have two insurances and do not have a copay. She replied: "I only see one--can you show me the cards?" I handed her the cards, and then she said: "You need to grab your phone and call both insurance reps. Let me know when you have them on the line so I can make sure these are active." I've never been asked to do something like that at any doctor, dental, or lab appointment before. At that point, I was beyond frustrated and completely done with the attitude and lack of respect. I asked for my cards back and told her we were leaving. Her response? A dismissive: "That's totally fine." It felt like they couldn't care less about helping us. Never in all my years living in DC have I experienced anything like this, such poor customer service, blatant attitude, entitlement, laziness, and complete disrespect. I left feeling angry and disheartened that a healthcare provider would choose to have people like this at their reception to treat patients this way. If you're looking for a clinic where the front desk is staffed by someone so astoundingly incompetent it borders on performance art, congratulations, you've found the place. The woman working the front desk here is a masterclass in how not to do your job. Rude, disorganized, utterly devoid of any communication skills, and completely uninterested in helping anyone. She made the check-in process feel like a punishment. It's almost impressive how someone can be so profoundly bad at something so basic, reading, listening, conveying information, every simple task seemed like a personal struggle for her. She exudes the energy of someone who not only doesn't want to be there, but actively resents anyone who is. It's truly alarming this person is trusted with anything involving patient care or records. Zero professionalism, zero awareness, zero clue. "ummm we umm changed companies so things are new so thats what that is." Every single question you ask her will be answered like this. That said, once you make it past ms. rude dodobird, PA Timira is a breath of fresh air. She's kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, everything the front desk is not. Also, she has great skin. The other nurse assistant is also very kind. It's unfortunate that their excellent care is so undermined by the absolute circus act running the front. Hopefully, management wakes up and replaces the liability at reception with someone who knows how to speak to people like a human being and can actually perform basic job functions without attitude or confusion. I was told to go to another health provider down the street, in the ice and snow, when I was in need af an EKG. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Actually, they deserve a negative numerical rating. Literally. These people are ALWAYS in a bad mood and the service is piss poor. This review is specifically for the front desk attendants. Why are you all so angry, rude, and disrespectful? I'd suggest a new staff. Regarding the doctors, their service is mediocre but they are knowledgeable. Walked in with an urgent issue at 5:10pm, was told they're not accepting walk ins for the rest of the day. They close at 8pm. WTF?!

On the several different occasions I've come in, the staff have been arguing loudly with each other. This review is for the front desk attendant on the afternoon of Nov 19, 2025. She was rude, not helpful, and was highly unprofessional! I scheduled an appointment for the pre-op tests and consult because my primary care doctor's could not accomodate due to her busy schedule and was traveling for the next two weeks. Since the tests could not be older than a month ahead of the surgery and I was traveling two and a half weeks ahead of surgery I had very tight window to get the tests done. It took me three days to even schedule an appointment in time to do the tests in time for my travel. When I showed up I explained this to the front desk person when she asked for the "Form". I told her that my doctor who was doing the surgery did not provide any form to me but that I had a list of tests that needed to be done. I also communicated that this was not the first time I had to do the pre-op and that my primary doctor just provided the overview of my health in addition to the required tests and all went well. She insisted I needed a form. I yet again explained that I have the list with tests required and I can explain it to the doctor, but she would not let me see the doctor. I had hard time to contain my frustration as it took me three days of calling different offices just to schedule an appointment and then I did not even get to see the doctor bcse someone at the front desk that was excercising their power over patients that needed help! I noticed that I am not the first person leaving bad review because of the front desk staff. This office should seriously consider firing people like that if they want to keep their business running and get some professional staff who are there to support the patients and not add to their pain and frustration! read more

I went to the Wisconsin Ave office and saw Sally Young, who, like other reviews have stated, had a very gruff bedside manner and gave me limited, confusing information. I waited two hours for my appointed that I scheduled in order to do lab testing, only to be told after that wait that the lab was closed and I would need to return tomorrow. No apology for the wait and quite a rude response when I asked why I wasn't told this upon checking in. I came the next day to do testing, after which I was told to expect results in 24-48 hours. I received inconclusive results 6 days later, then a call from my pharmacy saying I had been prescribed medication. It was all very confusing and I was unsure what I was even taking the medication for. I called the office several times, was unable to connect to a live person via phone, and sent several messages to Sally Young via the portal to which she did not respond. I scheduled a follow up appointment at the Rhode Island Ave clinic with Elizabeth Knudsen, which went much more smoothly. She was very informative and helpful. read more

This place treats their patients HORRIBLY, stay away! Made an appointment for a simple sore throat. When we arrived, they said Dr. Adams was refusing to do the checkup because he "did not have the tools to look at the sore throat". When we asked to speak with him directly the receptionist said he refused to speak with us (event though we had an appointment). The receptionist referred us to the Urgent Care and said she called ahead for us but the Urgent Care said they never got a call. Just a horrible way to treat a patient! read more

I went in for a UTI, did a urine test, subscribed antibiotics. After my visit I started getting emails telling me I have a telehealth appointment and if I don't show I'll be charged. Problem is there is no where in the email to cancel, only confirm. A phone call is required to cancel. I did not request nor need a follow up. I do not like this sort of "trickery". I took my mother here after she left rehab because she needed to be seen and also get help with filling out some forms so she can get a aid. That was on 7/27. The person she saw said they would fill out the form and send it in to Telligen, the agency, to proceed. 2 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything back. My mother had a virtual appointment during the second week of August and was told by the provider the form was denied because they needed more information. Cool. I sent what was asked on 8/11 and did not hear anything back from these people. They have an online portal and I messaged them to again ask about this damn form. Im really trying to mince my words hear because here it is a month later, still no word no nothing. I called Telligen and the Department of Aging who said, THEY NEVER SENT THE FORM SO THEY LIED TO A PATIENT. My mother is a 72 year old amputee I have no time to play with these unprofessional ass people. This literally is a hold up. My question is why not communicate?? AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The nurse at the front is lovely, but its crral that the doctors here don't care. I came in for a soar throat, felt similar to tonsillitis I had in the past. Just wanted to be checked out, the doctor Roscoe Adams told the nurse that he didn't have the tools to inspect my throat. We asked since it was an option online to select soar throat what that meant. Apparently, Doctor Adams doesn't have the tools to inspect for a soar throat, mind you I had an appointment. Its clear that the new doctors at this location do not care about the patient or their staff. The nurses do their best to accommodate and give us information. We even asked to just talk to the doctor for our appointment. The doctor refused to come out and take our appointment. No looking or anything. Save your time because if Doctor Adams doesn't have the tools to inspect a soar throat begs the question do they have the tools to inspect any other basic issues. read more

This was only my second visit to the AllCare Primary and Immediate Care office at 3500 Wisconsin Ave, DC. I had a great experience with Dr. Priscilla for an urgent care visit over a year ago. I am now between PCP's, so I decided to try this facility for a simple annual physical. I was scheduled with NP Sally Young, who was absolutely awful. She has a terrible bedside manner and was extremely rough during a gyn exam, causing severe pain of which I have never experienced previously. Since she is not an MD, I asked her if she had done gyn exams before, and she assured me that she had done "many." Since I had already had a good experience with Dr. Priscilla, I decided to proceed and forego the complete physical exam as I was informed by Sally that both a physical and gynecological exam cannot be completed during the same visit. So, I was shocked when I suddenly experienced the worst ripping sensation imaginable and cried out while she repeatedly told me to relax. The worst part is NP Sally Young never spoke to me after the pain she inflicted upon me. I never saw her again after she scuttled out of the exam room like a rat to her office toward the exit door. I went into her office and asked if she was able to do the exam adequately. Incredibly, she said, "Yes, that's why I had to twist it." !!!!!! I sincerely doubt she performed the exam medically properly, I am disappointed that I did not listen to my gut. While I waited in the exam room after my horrendous experience, a woman appeared and stated she was going to draw my blood. After the blood draw, I was left with a large clot, which is still there today, the day after. The takeaway is, please do not go to this facility unless you absolutely have no other choice, and NEVER see NP Sally Young for anything other than a runny nose. She may be capable of successfully treating that. I wish I had heeded the other poor reviews about her. Lesson learned. Hopefully, this review will help someone else make an informed decision. read more

Have been a few times now and can confirm this place is awful. I didn't want to go this last time but they were able to see me faster than my typical care team and I had very straightforward asks re: lab tests. One out of three specimens were never received by the lab facility. I've reached out via the portal and tried calling several times with no response. Two of my calls were actually answered - the first by someone who heard the issue, took my name, and then hung up on me. The second by someone seemingly accidentally as I overheard office chatter for about 15 seconds before being hung up on again. My next three calls were ignored and sent to voicemail. This facility and staff is super unprofessional. I've had decent interactions only with the actual Doctors themselves, but that hardly does any good if I have no way of reaching them again. Also this place seemingly tries to provide both urgent care and typical primary care services when it does a horrible job delivering on either of those. Avoid at all costs. read more

Terrible practice with no common sense up front. They wait until you get there to tell you they need a negative Covid test for you to be seen If you have any Covid symptoms. Understandable.. but Why not mention that upfront so the patient is prepared?? Also, What's not understandable is how you have absolutely no symptoms.... set an appointment up for a physical... It's allergy season and you mentioned you suffer from sinus problems sometimes due to pollen and they say you can't be seen bc they need a negative Covid test. I understand safety.... But I just said I have no symptoms and made the appt for a physical. lady at the desk says. But you said sinus.... Who has time for little Kid games ??? Waist of time. I love the flexibility of evening appointments with an internal medicine doctor! I'm newish to the area and was seeking a new PCP, and AllCare was super conveniently located, in-network with my insurance, and had flexible hours. I had a great experience with Dr. Duke. I came in for a back-related issue, and he absolutely met my needs while also catching a dermatological issue I had not thought to mention! Also, I'm totally not sure if this is typical for the day/time, but I my appointment time was 7:00 PM and I was out by 7:15 PM. Such an efficient staff! read more

Do not seek treatment at this clinic. I was having some issues, so I made an appointment with Dr. Adams for April 14. After I arrived and was shown into the exam room, the nurse/MA took my blood pressure. She then asked if I had "any medical history." How are you supposed to answer that? I did the best I could. Then she told me I wouldn't need to provide her with a list of medications because she located them in the system. Dr. Adams evaluated me. He was pleasant enough. Based on my symptoms, he ordered a battery of tests. After the appointment, I reviewed my progress note in the patient portal. The nurse/MA recorded some inaccurate information (such as a temperature when she absolutely did not take my temperature) and documented that I was tachycardic. That was never mentioned to me during the visit. In addition, my medication list was not accurate - the MA/nurse never asked me to verify anything from what she found in the system. My lab results came through on April 16 and 19. Much to my surprise, one of the tests for a serious bacterial illness was positive. I reached out to Dr. Adams to inquire about next steps. I received a response stating I had to make a telemedicine appointment to speak with him. The next available appointment was April 21. So I had to wait almost a full week - with no antibiotics or prescription of any kind- just so these people could have a telemedicine visit to bill to my insurance company. Everything that transpired during that visit could have been done over the phone, and the medication should have been sent to my pharmacy the same day the positive test results came back. That is the kind of thing that needs to be brought to the attention of the DC regulatory agency and DC Medical Board. After I started treatment, I was in contact with Dr. Adams via the patient portal on a few occasions. He often took days, and in one case a week, to respond. Definitely not what I would have expected given the nature of my underlying illness. If you want prompt, accurate, and competent care, then I suggest you seek treatment elsewhere. read more

Awful. I had a confirmed appointment. Showed up on time with completed pre appointment paperwork after receiving multiple reminders. The front reception was unfriendly. The medical assistants taking weight and blood pressure had an attitude that they could care less. Poor communication and curt. They refused to honor the appointment despite an empty waiting room and only one patient. They came into the patient room saying I now needed to go to another location as they forgot to call me about the change in location. There was a provider on location where I was. Super-unhelpful! This location does not see minors, but the only person there didn't inform us of that until after she watched us fill out all the registration forms. No other patients were present. Then she sent us to their location on Rhode Island Ave, and when we arrived there they also would not see a child. This use to be my go to primary care in Bethesda for years . I've had the same blood panels done 30 times and Medicare covers . This last time I received a bill for $442 from Labcorp . I called Allcare and they told me it was Labcorp problem . Reached out to Labcorp and blamed Allcare . Reached out to a member on the board of directors for Allcare . I will never use this Bethesda Allcare again. They don't care . It use to be a fine walk in clinic , now it's an investment bank masquerading as a health clinic . Never again ! read more

First let me start off by saying that if zero stars were an option, that would be what they deserve. This is by far the most unprofessional office I have ever come across. We spoke to them 3 times to make an appt for my son, a college student, who had a cough, but no other symptoms. They confirmed and reconfirmed and took our insurance info. Just as he arrived via Uber from his college, they called his cell and told him they do not see "sick" patients and to seek medical care elsewhere! . Confused, he asked what exactly happened and why now, as he pulled up, was he told to leave! They would not even let him in the door. If an urgent care office will not see someone in need of medical care, then they should not advertise as such nor should the take and make appointments!!. The receptionist was horribly rude to him and would not even let him speak. He tried to ask her why, when he made his appt, and the on the subsequent phone calls, was he not told this? They waited until he pulled up to call his cell and cancel and then made him stand outside in the cold, (it had gotten dark as well). I then called on my son's behalf and that same young lady whom he had spoken to, was by far the most disrespectful, arrogant, unprofessional person I've had the displeasure of coming across. There was no explanation given and she continued her unprofessional rant that they do not see sick people. I saw Dr. Adams with a weeklong fever and severe, sharp pain in my side, which he said was probably a reaction to my covid vaccine a full week prior. After asking multiple times if there was something else it could be, he told I would have to wait for blood results two days later when he was back in the office. I went to the ER and had both pneumonia and a kidney infection. Glad I listened to my body instead of Dr. Adams, who seemed to dismiss my concerns because he didn't want to deal with it. Dr. Adams is a true professional who makes you feel important, like you matter. He listens and responds, he shows you he cares. My second visit was this morning-several weeks ago I saw him for a problem with my shoulder which he addressed immediately. He remembered things we discussed last time which was amazing, he looked at me when we talked about my medical needs, he didn't stare at an IPad or a computer. I really really appreciate this office. The icing on the cake is Ms. Ashley K. Generally in the past, drawing blood is a traumatic and painful experience for me; they can't find the vein, they stick me and start looking for the vein, take it out then stick me again. I used to dread it, have my blood pressure shoot up, then walk out bruised and traumatized. Ms. Ashley, this morning, got the vein with one stick which I didn't even feel. She got the blood for the labs, no drama, no bruising...thank you so much Ms. Ashley. You are truly a Boss. read more

I had an underwhelming experience as well. I came in for rib and back pain on my left side. Emily Johnson NP was the person who saw me. She told me their EKG was broken. All she actually did was take my temp and blood pressure and speculate about possibilities and tell me E.R. Is better equipped to diagnose. They charge $579 for this "service", their billing department didn't respond when I emailed them so I sent them the same message via snail mail and still no response. I'm not sure why this place even exists except as a cash grab. Skip this place! read more

I have met with Dr. Adams a few times and I like him as a doctor. He is knowledgeable, kind, and listens well. His office staff is another story. I came in for some blood work and other tests, followings up on results from the previous month. I fasted and did not use the bathroom prior to arriving to prepare for the tests. I arrived at my appointment time, then was waiting in the waiting room for about 30 mins. I could hear the staff gossiping and chatting behind the door. A maintenance worker opened the waiting room door to get something and that allowed the two staff/nurses to see there were people waiting. I literally heard one of them say "omg I didn't know there were people waiting" and laughed. I asked the nurse if I heard her correctly and she said "i didn't say anything". :( It was past 11 am when I was finally able to use the bathroom for the first time that day. Blood work went smoothly. Dr. Adams only came in the room briefly, but I wasn't given an opportunity to ask about other things I might need. There were two other concerns I had (prescription and other symptoms). I had to talk to him through the phlebotomist/nurse because he was busy and couldn't come in the room to talk to me directly. But I could hear him talking to the other nurses behind the door. I left feeling frustrated and with the wrong prescription. The staff are unprofessional and do not present the practice well. I have been trying to get my parents seen for telehealth appointments but was only able to get my mother one because when I clicked back to refresh and enter my father's information, the appointment slot for after my mom had already been taken. I called and spoke to Joey Chaplin who was AMAZING. I never write reviews, I've lived here my whole life and only write reviews if I think the customer service was above and beyond and it was in this instance.
