My experience with Swift Audiology was a lesson in repeated disappointments with service and concern as their client/patient. As a new customer I expressed my desire for better service than my previous hearing specialist over the last six years. I was assured that service and customer satisfaction was a top priority. My insurance allowed me to purchase only one brand of hearing aids that I paid $3,500 out of pocket after insurance coverage. Over the past two years I was informed that my insurance limited availability to an audiologist to Mondays appointments only, even though they are open Monday through Friday. After the one year warranty period expired I was charged $65 for each office visit for cleaning the hearing aids and those were performed by the receptionist and not by one of the audiologists. I felt like I was treated as a second class citizen because I did not generate enough revenue to earn any more than the bare minimum of quality care. I stopped in six weeks ago to have the dome inserts replace only to be informed that Swift Audiology would no longer provide service to the hearing aids they happily accepted my money for. I asked if I might have expected some notice in the mail to inform me of this change. Their answer was that I should search online to find who my insurance recommended as a new service provider. I was charged another $65.00 and shown the door. The message is loud and clear. The profit margin on the brand of hearing aids that Swift Audiology sold me was not enough to justify adequate service and care to me, as a customer. I will continue my search for the care I need to be an active participant in the hearing world.

I cannot say enough great things about hearing unlimited and their hearing professional Todd. My father had a stroke about 3 years ago and is completely deaf in one ear and very close to completely deaf in the other ear. Todd explained there's only so much hearing aids can do for my father since his hearing is very profound but they would do their best to help him. Well, the hearing aid they provided my father has made a HUGE difference in his life! He can now hear me, he can enjoy his TV programs and he has talked more in the month he's had his hearing aid than he has in the past 3 years. And Todd is AMAZING. My father, although a nice man, has his moments and isn't the easiest person to get along with if something is going to cost money as he's set in his ways. Before I got involved, my mother scheduled 2 appointments with Todd over the span of 2 years and each time dad told Todd he wasn't interested. I told my dad he didn't have a choice and my dad reluctantly agreed to see Todd for a 3rd time. Well, Todd is now our best friend!!!!! He is so patient with my father, is incredibly kind, empathetic, honest and has great integrity. He has literally changed the quality of my father's life. My dad now wants to see family members he hasn't seen in years, wants to go to the casino and basically wants to be more active because he can now hear! He wants to engage in life instead of sit on the sidelines. Prior to getting this hearing aid, all my dad wanted to do was sleep and watch tv which he couldn't hear. I can't say enough great things about Todd and this company. Not satisfied. After the initial trial period, I returned…read morethem. He then asked me to try a different set. (apparently used or a previous demo as there was no box or literature.) When I took them back, he offered to order Primax Pure 7 PXM aids which were rechargeable and came with the "clip" which provides streaming. The price was to be $178 less than the original ones. I made a note of the model name so I could research them while I waited for them to come in. When they came in, he said he couldn't get rechargeable ones and was giving me batterys and a TV transmitter. He had already programmed them. When I insisted on a change in the base volume, I saw on the screen that they were 3PXM which is two steps below what he quoted. When I refused to take them, he said the price quoted was below his cost. It took me 3 months from the initial demo to get a refund. He charged me $445 for programming and work on my old ones when I went in for the test and $200 cancellation fee. (I did a demo from another vendor and when I returned them I walked out with a check for the full amount)
