I trust Dr. Lammie. I trust her team. I saw someone's negative comment about having to stay in your car until you're called to come in to provide your pets. Its true that it started with covid but now continues. I actually prefer it. Why? Because instead of having to hang out in a waiting room with other loud noises, dogs barking, etc., my cats are not as traumatized and they're taken straight back to a room. I think this probably reduces germs in the waiting area, too. I can see where it may give some an uneasy feeling but doctor offices often don't let you go back in the room with grandma during her surgery/procedure. Now, with regular check-ups, I was allowed to go back to a room with them, so there's the difference. Anyway, Dr. Lammie has a good heart, she's caring and competent; that's what you want. Other vets may not operate like this place, and that may make you FEEL better, but they're not always the best doctor. This building is clean, with adequate exam rooms, small waiting area, surgical room, it is not a "house" like the same commenter made - I will adamantly disagree. It is a very large house that was converted into a legit veterinary establishment. This is very common. And, this will probably be legend, my friend told me she actually reconstructed a leg that was torn from a dog by a bear and it worked! I mean, come on!! We thankfully found Grace Animal Hospital. When we walked in, we were told they were booked but when we explained our situation, they made the time for us and our girl. The whole office was sweet and compassionate. Dr Adams examined her and agreed something catastrophic had happened to her. He & his staff explained everything to us and helped our girl pass on peacefully. We are so thankful for them and their treatment of us and our family member. A week later, we received the sweetest condolence card in the mail signed by several of the staff. That meant the world to us that they took the time to not only send a card but to have personal messages as well. I would highly recommend Grace Animal Hospital for your pet care needs. Although it was difficult Dr. Canfield worked with me for 13 years to give Bandit a long happy life. He had more good days than he had bad thanks to Dr. Canfields exceptional care and service. Bandit was given a life expectancy of 8 years but lived to be almost 14. He was married to Mitzi Lane and they had a son Bentley. Bandit was a gentle and loving soul who provided joy wherever he went. He was an avid Va trail walker and lived a long full happy life that only Dr. Canfield with her expertise and professionalism could have provided. Thank you Dr. Canfield for 13 wonderful years.

Dr. Lisa is a gentle soul with him ( and probably every animal ) and wants to do everything in her power to make him comfortable.
