Well, I gave in and she started Piano lesson from Mr.Will Lesnick in January 2013, and I have been amazed at how he teaches Izzy. Isabella loves coming to class every week and I know Mr.Lesnick's way of teaching piano works for Isabella. He is so patient and explains things at her age level, so she understands the keys and notes, etc.... I truly believe that Piano lessons are great for children if they want to do it but I believe more now that its the teacher/ Instructor that makes the biggest and best difference. I am so glad that Isabella started getting lessons , her confidence has improved, she comes home and practices on her keyboard without being told. We are so satisfied in our choice of teacher!

First of all, it doesn't break your budget. So many daycares force you to pay for 5 days and all summer to hold your child's spot, but Aloma does not. They charge for the days that you attend. It was the most reasonable for our budget. Second, the staff turnover rate is nonexistent. Some of their teachers have been there for over 10+ years. That says a lot to me as a teacher that you have all of these great teachers willing to stay at the school and not move on to "greener pastures". Third, the teachers are amazing. My daughter has learned a tremendous about from all of them. We are constantly learning new things here like sign language from Miss Savannah or games from Ms. Jody. The teachers care about the kids well being and their academic growth. Finally I'd like to say that the office staff also cares about the kids. My daughter knows all of the them and feels comfortable and safe when she is there. Seriously as a parent, safety, loving, and a great learning experience what more can you ask for. We are truly going to miss this school and the people. They have become family to us and we would highly recommend this school. Go in, talk to the people, talk to the parents, see how the kids are treated. I promise you that you won't regret the trip or enrollment.

Ryan uses multiple mediums to engage his students, such as traditional books, videos and even apps. My son is not almost 8 and looks forward to seeing Mr. Ryan every week. I also appreciate that Ryan plans the recitals ahead of time and give the students plenty of time to practice and prepare. He sets them up for success. I purchased four 30-minute voice lessons for Ace Music Academy on a discounted site for $36 per two…read morelessons. The promotion stated that up to three purchases per person can be made every 90 days. I contacted the academy to schedule my teen daughter's first lesson and Ryan called back. I informed him that I wanted to schedule four lessons for my daughter. He told me that the promotion on the discounted site was incorrect (something he was trying to fix but has been unsuccessful) and that I could only use one voucher. The second voucher I purchased could be used towards a regular class at full price. I agreed and scheduled the two discounted lessons. After the last lesson, I wanted to schedule the next two and final lessons. Ryan sent an invoice for a regular lesson with a higher rate than his website stated and an additional $25 for a registration fee (the regular fee for lessons was increased in April but the website had not been updated). I questioned the registration fee considering two lessons only cost $36 and my daughter wasn't a regular student and would not continue lessons with him. He stated, "A registration fee applies to every student, regardless if they take one class or 10 classes. Once the student begins to take regular classes, they are considered registered, hence why the registration fee." I told him instead to just honor the promotion on the website and it would be our last lesson. He told me he couldn't honor it and only one discount "is able to be applied to each student. The second discount was applied as a credit to discount the first invoice." I told him I didn't want to proceed and had already received a refund from the other website. My experience with Ryan has not been satisfactory for the above reasons. I felt that he was definitely misleading with the pricing and unorganized with the scheduling of the lessons. I must admit that my daughter did say Ryan was a good instructor but wanted lessons with other instructors to find a better fit. I wanted to give him a lower rating but didn't because of my daughter's experience with him. I also wish he would post samples of his singing on the website so that potential customers can have an idea of his vocal ability.

As for the assessments, I can see where their expectations are a bit too high, rigid, and uniform. I wouldn't feed into it too much. I did at first and became discouraged, which created a stressful environment for my child at home. But then I quickly realized that every child learns differently and at different times and that is OK. 1 star because there's none whatsoever loyalty or appreciation. You're just a dollar sign. Their policies are rigid and they refuse to work with you in any way. They rather lose your business altogether than try to work with you. Obviously every place has policies, I'm not arguing that but simple things such as picking your child up one minute (literally one minute) late only one time in 2 years....or increasing pricing last minute because they decided to implement an unreasonable summer schedule. There's just no real sense of appreciation or loyalty there. And that's important too. I would have paid had they handled it better, but they didn't. I never got an apology for the inaccurate information I was given, not even a reply to my email to them. Nothing. Says a lot when a business is willing to lose you as a customer altogether rather than work with you. Unfortunate because I was a loyal customer for 3+ years.
