They are mostly college age and there is…read morefrequent turnover as they move on, go back to college, etc. When our daughter was going to PMA, she had some good and some not so good instructors. One didn't even seem interested, was just getting through the hour. The web site is deceptive. For instance, #5 of the "12 benefits" says "A comfortable waiting room for parents" and has a photo of a large room with big windows and leather couches, giving the impression that the photo is the waiting room. It is not. In fact, the room pictured is not anywhere at their facility. I don't know where it is but it's not at Parker Music Academy. On the web site, the photo by #3 and #6 shows a lovely outdoor amphitheater with people playing instruments. This photo is also not anywhere at Parker Music Academy. Maybe they posed some students in another town? I'm not sure. But, their actual facility is an old house that has been converted. The "waiting room" is a VERY small foyer with an old, broken-down sofa. Looks like the front room in your weird 70 year old aunt's house. The facilities are totally misrepresented on the web site. Their waiting room is not large or comfortable by any means. If more than 3 or 4 parents are waiting, someone must stand. As far as the 5 acres of space, maybe they own 5 acres but all I've ever seen was the old house and a gravel driveway with mud holes. There is no space for playing music outdoors. As far as the "Observation windows" talked about in #5, I don't know what they're talking about. When I read that, I thought there would be windows from the waiting room into the lesson rooms so waiting parents could watch. No such thing. The lesson rooms are small rooms with regular house windows to outdoors. I suppose one could walk around the outside of the house in the weeds and look into the rooms like a peeping-Tom, but I've never seen anyone do that. The photos on the web site by #2 (indoor) and #7 and #12 (outdoor) are also not anywhere near their facility. They were taken somewhere else, somewhere much nicer than their facility. If they are going to post photos on a web site that brags about their facilities, the photos should actually show the facilities rather than some other, random location. The web site also says "Conveniently located" in Parker and "Central location." Well, not exactly. They're quite a ways out a gravel road, not anywhere near the center of town. To be fair, the location is not terrible. It doesn't take long to get there. But, it's not as if it's on Main St. or Parker Rd. or any other paved road in town. In summary, the lessons are OK. They do offer many days/times to fit just about any schedule. But, their web site does NOT give an accurate impression of their facilities, not even close.

He would let me know when one was available. Guess what, I've left numerous messages, stuck notes in my bill, emailed, and literally NO response, nothing. So my son is stuck with a too small cello while Music Hut still attempts to collect money without helping their customer. I've never dealt with a company that basically refuses any contact when someone needs assistance. Awful, avoid Music Hut at all costs!!

I said I didn't want to make the final payment until we had a full size cello in our possession, but he insisted we had to continue payments because we had signed a contract. One year later, he has all of his money, we still don't have a full size cello and he is now claiming we never asked for a full size cello within the terms of the contract. Very bad business practice!! He won't return our phone calls. Do not rent from this business. Get your string instruments from a real violin shop. If you search the Better Business Bureau, you'll see he did the same thing to another customer with a violin.

He had held a A+in his middle school band all through 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade he's way ahead of his peers in so many areas of music. Fast forward to 2 years ago our oldest son wanted to audition and compete for first chair trumpet in his band class as a junior in high school at cherry creek high school. My son is advanced with math but has problems taking tests and both tutors have taken the time to troubleshoot and give us ideas on how to combat the problem. As licensed teachers they are both adept at dealing with different learning styles and truly understand how to teach and how to hold the attention of the kids they tutor. I'd been…read moredealing with a really frustrating problem for a while: either the G or D string would barely speak unless I pressed extremely hard with my left hand. The weird part was that whenever I changed one of those strings, the new one would suddenly respond much more easily... and then the other one would start having the same issue. It kept switching back and forth and was driving me crazy. It turned out the bridge was crooked. My untrained eyes couldn't really tell so I didn't think that was the problem. Von carefully adjusted it and also shared some great stories from his years in the business, including working with Isaac Stern. That combination of skill and genuine care meant a lot. Really grateful. Prior to this, I also had my bows rehaired here and their pricing is fairly reasonable. If you're in the Denver area and need violin work done right, this is the place.

Derek at Von's saw the the post was too short, I needed a new bridge. I was hesitant. But the difference is night and day. Derek also repaired a crack under the tailpiece and a seam repair. I'm virtually playing a whole new violin. So very happy with the experience I need a rehair next, and to keep everything humidified properly so it remains a beautiful violin.
