I used the resources on Zillow to educate myself on the different types of Realtors and once I knew what I needed I started keeping an eye out as I checked the daily listings. I found Carrie Fairman and she was all the things I needed: a local female that was licensed in NC that had short sale experience. Carrie is an incredible example of what a Realtor should be. She's mannerly, punctual, positive, informed, quick thinking, and not afraid to ruffle feathers to do what's right. What a shit show for over a month so far! I think their tactic is to wear you down with so damn…read moremuch time responding to the constant barrage of requests for documents and a black hole of ridiculousness that at a certain point you realize you've spent weeks getting nowhere. I have expended a vast amount of time and effort with no end in sight. They are STILL requesting documents four weeks later (most are duplicates, of course). I also discovered other mortgage companies want their own appraisal so you're going to be out several hundred dollars and multiple weeks to start over with a reputable provider. I have an 800+ credit score, house appraised at $500K (refi for $260K) and never had this difficulty with a mortgage before. I would NEVER recommend them. It was a nightmare being shipped from one representative to another and assigned a "customer advocate". That's a huge joke. There is nothing about this business that is customer oriented. They are no different than any other mortgage broker. Sales ploys and promises that they don't keep with absolutely ZERO customer individualization. Disappointing all around; they suck.

I had the equity in my home but I wanted to make sure I remained under the 80% threshold to avoid having to pay Premium Mortgage Insurance. Needless to say I have had the opportunity to talk with my many mortgage loan officers. Many of the officers are just trying to make a quick buck without really listening to what you are trying to do. I made an online inquiry on lendingtree.com and soon had many reputable lenders calling. I was really disappointed with some of the major lenders out there who weren't able to earn my business. Some of the loan officers were simply making outrageous claims I knew they would not be able to deliver. I went through the process with several of them only to have them not be able to deliver on their claims and trying to charge $10,000 in closing cost for a loan. I was to the point of giving up when Wyndham called. I am really glad I listened to Kyle Balder from Wyndham. I have to be honest and say I was not terribly convinced he could get it done for under $6000 in closing cost. Kyle worked hard to earn my business and went the extra mile to get me the best rate possible. I am scheduled to close on Friday and am really grateful for all his hard work. Wyndham Capital has earned a customer for life. I am really happy that I will be able to accomplish my credit goals!!!

Refinanced our home and locked in at 3.75 fixed for 30 years. This saved us about $250 a month! We had tried this a few years back and could not get a call back for anything. When the rates went down again I looked into them again and discovered the individual that was unresponsive didn't appear to be there any longer. This second attempt went off without a hitch. Emails were responded to, phone calls were returned and the level of service was fantastic. We didn't pay a dime in closing costs and they were not rolled over into our loan either- they cover them! We had to come out of pocket for a new appraisal but we were paid back at closing. I would recommend them if you are looking to refinance at a lower rate. They also came right to our home for the closing, it literally couldn't have been any easier!
