I used the resources on Zillow to educate myself on the different types of Realtors and once I knew what I needed I started keeping an eye out as I checked the daily listings. I found Carrie Fairman and she was all the things I needed: a local female that was licensed in NC that had short sale experience. Carrie is an incredible example of what a Realtor should be. She's mannerly, punctual, positive, informed, quick thinking, and not afraid to ruffle feathers to do what's right. Carrie goes toe to toe on her buyers' behalf not because she has to, but because she WANTS to protect her client. She's fierce in her determination to get them a fair shake and at the end of the day you just can't ask for more than that!! It took us 6 months to work my short sale deal that involved court dates and visits to the IRS office, but Carrie stuck right by me through it all. When I called - she answered. When I texted - she responded... every single time. Carrie was also invaluable when it came to connecting me to some amazing people including my mortgage lender, my closing attorney, my home inspector and my home warranty provider. I was determined to hire my own home inspector to be certain that I would get a fair and unbiased inspection report. I searched on Angie's List and found a home inspector that got 80 recent "A" reviews and it turned out that was the same exact home inspector that Carrie uses anyway, which said a lot to me :-) I really don't know where I'd have ended up if I hadn't found Carrie. I am SO TRULY grateful to Carrie Fairman for taking such amazing care of me during such a stressful process. I'll never forget her part in the purchasing of my first home... thanks Carrie!! :-)

The county building dept and the county accessor couldn't even talk sense to these company morons. They need retraining on laws in each state. They need to understand factual documents and not non sensical historical data that have nothing to do with the mortgagee. If you get them - pray you get sold right away.

We just completed our mortgage after more than 6 months! We worked with one of their people out of Palm Beach County (Florida) on the basis of a recommendation for a home we were purchasing in North Carolina. Our representative was both inept and untruthful. On more than one occasion she kept requesting documentation that was previously provided her. She used old data to compute an outrageous closing check to pay off existing debt even though such debt was paid off in its entirety monthly. This was a concept she either could not comprehend or chose to disregard. As we crept to a potential closing date, she got involved with the loan processor which lead to more details and an internal fight between the two of them. I am not a newbie to house purchasing ads this was my 11th home bought. However, this was, by far, the single worst mortgage company I've ever dealt with. Movement Mortgage should rename itself--No Movement. That would accurately describe them.
