Then I had something happen while vacationing that confirmed that I had the access to the best care in West Michigan through this office. After falling on a rock and doing serious tissue and muscle damage as well as exposure to unknown pathogens I had to fly 17 hours back to GR arriving on a Sunday and waited to call Dr McCorry's office Monday morning. He asked me to come in immediately and gave me the medical attention my situation required to head off infections and further damage due to potential blood clots. They began a comprehensive treatment plan that found me seeing the specialists that could diagnose and treat my wounds and carefully monitored my progress over several weeks. It is my belief that without that continued support and immediate care my situation could have easily resulted in nerve damage and serious infections. Don't let the smaller size of the office influence your decision about this practice. They're hardwired into west Michigan's best available medical resources!

I knew that surgery and physical therapy was imminent and I didn't want to drive hours on the road for several weeks! I was so glad I went to Shoreline Orthopaedics! Dr. Cheek was so informative and took the time to tell me what I did to my shoulder and what it would take to get it back to mobility with no pain. It has been 4 months and I have no pain! The office staff were always friendly and the medical staff were 99% on time! I won't think twice about going to Shoreline Orthopaedics if I have to have surgery in the future. I just hope if I do, it will be several years down the road!

The office staff and nurses are all very kind and helpful. This location is super convenient because they also have an Urgent Care center and a lab (Although it gets a little confusing because it's easy to assume the lab is actually run by the doctors but it's slightly different billing/administration).

I was able to make the appointment online easily for that same week, which was nice. They sent a ton of forms to fill out prior to the appointment, which took a bit of time, but I didn't have to re-do any of the paperwork when I was there. The building has plenty of parking but it was pretty busy as the lot is shared with some other offices. I was seen pretty close to my appointment time by PA Nate. He listened to my concerns and did a quick physical exam of my knee and sent me for an x-ray which was done in their own lab. I got my results fairly quickly and they recommended physical therapy. They did call me several times to follow up to schedule PT as well as make a return appointment, which I declined. Overall it was a good experience, I don't have anything to compare it to but I felt listened to and supported in my care at this practice.

When I have crazy questions, he will answer me sincerely. I wouldn't call him particularly jovial, but I'm not looking for a comedian in a physician. Dr. Gustafson isn't necessarily quick to prescribe medicine - he considers lots of options and my input, as well. When I went through a very hard time, he took extra care to listen to me and showed real interest. I trust him with my family's health and I would recommend him to anyone seeking a physician in the area.
