Really cool gem of a gun shop we found by accident. The record jukebox was not for sale but the owner let me play music on it. My husband found the ammo he needed and we picked up some free stickers there. Staff was friendly & professional. The store is small, yet it seems to be a busy place. Wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. A simple drill and tap for 4 rail mount screws turned into an unsafe rifle and unshootable rifle. It was my first and I'd hoped to pass it onto my son. Of course the owner doesn't know anything about what happened to it. Well, you don't get a perfect circle shaped protrusion in your brass and a failure to extract with natural wear and tear. I've got dozens of deer I've harvested with this rifle but now it's barely a wall hanger. I wouldn't trust their gunsmithing to repair a faulty squirt gun. Sadly this guy is a Vietnam Veteran taking advantage of other Veterans. It's a shame. read more

I had purchased ammo a couple of times and had a good experience with their gunsmith. My first gun transfer will also be the last time I do business with them. Forty dollars for a transfer and then the ten dollar TN fee is a ripoff. Fifteen to twenty is standard. Add in to that, the person "helping me" didn't have a clue on what he was doing. The factory box was also not available, guess they must have needed it more than me. The whole experience felt like amateur hour. read more

I have had work done here for next to nothing, and had them special order for me when I knew they wouldn't be making much if any profit. They have gone out of their way to keep ammo in stock even during the great ammo shortage of 2013, they'd sell you 5 boxes of 5.56. God Bless the good folks at Allens. CCW classes very professional. Warning -They took my vintage 60 plus yr. old Remington SCOREMASTER 511 in to have scope mounts put on. When they drilled and mounted the scope mount bases, they are not straight and are crooked and are not lined up. The holes have been drilled and are set. Also, the base mounts he used are way too big and thick so large rings have to be used and after consulting 2 other gunsmiths, they could not understand. I took it back for the mounts to be set correctly. They drilled more holes, left old holes unfilled and the rear mount is still crooked and offset. The guy who did the first job when asked about the holes not being filled said, "I didn't do that job and acted offended". I watched him working on it. Thank you Allen's Gunshop. Joel R. Our favorite go-to gun shop in the area. They never rushed us, even with a baby in tow. They have good prices as compared to some of the shops around Ft. Campbell. I love the local atmosphere and they are very knowledgeable. We only buy our guns/ammo here. Other stores wouldn't help me because I am a girl but they were super friendly. I'm a woman and the otjer gun shops will help you too, There are a couple of knowledgedable men at this shop but the smoking environment is a huge turn off. We also aren't impressed with the owner. She's very rude. Her employees work hard despite her rude behavior towards them and some of the customers. We've shopped at Allen's for several years so we have seen the good and bad. As for you being a girl, I doubt that has little to do with anything other than you are still learning. And with a baby in tow I am sure he or she can be fussy. I bought a Kimber pistol here right before Christmas, the price was the best I could find In the area. They threw in an extra magazine and I bought another one and a holster, this was the second gun I bought there. The total bill was just over $1500. After I fired the pistol about 400 rounds I found all 3 mags were malfunctioning, would either misfeed or jam on the last round of the mag. Went back and talked to the owner and he gave me nothing but grief. Complained about the employee throwing in the extra mag, wouldn't even think of making it right with the mag that came with the gun. At first he said he would replace the one I paid for but I would have to buy the 3rd mag, finally after his attitude got even worse he made it right with the 2 mags I got from them, I still have to deal with Kimber on my own for the one that came with the gun. This is not the kind of customer service I would expect, especially as a repeat customer and one who spent that kind of money. The employees were great, it's the owner that seems to have the problem. I will not patronize this establishment again, I will gladly pay more somewhere else that appreciates my business. read more
