I have called the office several times and left my phone number in a voicemail, yet I still have not received a return call. I finally managed to reach the receptionist, who informed me that the only way to become a new patient is through a referral. I have since attempted to fax my referral multiple times, but every attempt has failed. So what exactly is the problem? If the office insists on using an outdated method of transmitting referrals instead of allowing patients or providers to submit them electronically by email, then at the very least, the fax system should actually work. It is incredibly frustrating to require patients to jump through these hoops while providing no reliable way to complete the process. Perhaps being the only allergy specialist in town has created the impression that accessibility and responsive customer service are optional. read more

I have been getting shots for allergies for 6 months now. Dr. Moyer is fantastic, as are the nurses who give the shots. These folks are efficient and friendly and couldn't be more professional. But for 6 months, I have tried my hardest to be friendly to the receptionist. I greet her with a friendly hello each and every time and she simply couldn't be more rude. She literally will turn her head and look the other way when I say hello or give her my paper after my shots. I don't get it. She is the first impression patients get of this office and unfortunately, it's not a good one. Also, on two occasions, I have signed my name to get shots and she has waited until folks come in after me, and then calls their name, as if I'm not even there! Then when I question it she just says, "Oh, I must have missed you." It's sad because Dr. Moyer is exceptional. read more

I went to see Dr Moyer in Sept 2016. I was waiting in the waiting room as a new patient for more then 40 minutes. After I was called into the examining room I was confronted by a woman named Nina or Lina who said she was the nurse. She asked why I was there and I told her I was there for allergy testing. I said i wanted a full allergy test. She asked me questions and asked my weight (never put me on a scale). Next, Dr Moyer, came in (excellent doctor) after examining me and finding I had pneumonia he prescribed to me medications and could not do the test while I was sick and wanted to see me in 2 weeks. On Oct 3rd I called to ask if I should still come in for my Oct 5th testing because my primary doctor had put me on another round of antibiotics. I had to leave a message on Nina or Lina's voicemail. Never heard back from her. On Oct 5th i was called by the office to ask if I was coming for my visit. I explained I left a message and never received a return call. On Oct 6th I called and got forwarded to April's voicemail. I left a voicemail for April and until today, Oct 17th, I still have not heard from April so I called the Florence office to speak to the office manager, Brenda. After getting three people on the phone I was told Brenda is off on mondays so I called the Little River office where Dr Moyer was seeing patients and was given every excuse not to speak to Dr Moyer himself. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes before hanging up. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The doctor may be terrific but his office staff is horrifying. I was having trouble with Medicare payments, I just got it. I told them my health insurance agent was working on it. They didn't want to hear it, told to call their Florence office, also told to pay or no service. The office staff are unfriendly, extremely rude, and have bad attitudes, your just a number. Very unprofessional, I would not recommend this practice. read more

Tried scheduling appointment on the phone, receptionist told me I will have to pay minimum of $500 for first visit, I said I like to see EOB from insurance before paying, because how would I know the allowable charges, etc. She said it's their policy and I "should find another allergist" if I don't like it. I wish I could give a 0. I moved here from about 75 miles away and needed a new doctor to give monthly maintenance injections. They told me they would do so but I needed a full range of testing again and it would cost $174 with my insurance. My old doctor said this was ridiculous but I did it anyway. The test results were basically the same as I had had a year ago when I started my injections with my old doctor. After they did the testing they told me I had to start all over again with getting injections twice a week, not the once a month I had worked up to! I said I didn't want to go backward and why would they made me go back to twice a week injections. The nurse said without looking at my test results that MAYBE I was now allergic to something that I wasn't allergic to last year! They are a scam and just want to take your money. I go to another allergist now who is only a very short distance away and is very cooperative in giving me my monthly injections. To top it all off, today I get a bill saying Allergy Asthma and Sinus Center wanting another $50 despite the fact I paid them the price I was quoted at the time of my visit. My advice is to STAY AWAY from this greedy group. read more

Dr. Moyer is amazing, professional & personable but I will not be back. His nurse needs a major attitude adjustment & I feel as though my daughter wouldn't receive proper care. Our ins wouldn't pay for a medication for my 4 year old & after multiple attempts from my pharmacist I called. His nurse came up with every excuse not to call & see if we could get a preauthorization. Instead, she wanted to prescribe a pill and eventually told me that "maybe I should just call." even floyd first I was already told by my pharmacist it needed to be the healthcare provider. I told her I wasn't doing her job and that if I could've called I would've and I can't believe her dismissing my concerns about the medication and I believed this was out of sheer laziness. (which was wrong I admit) She went on a rampage and promptly hung up on me. Weather she had a bad day or my words upset her, it's unprofessional to hang up on a patient's mother. We have since already switched to another office that's aimed towards children-- probably not a bad thing since the office manager said it "sounded like we're not a good fit"... read more

I will never step foot into this practice! The office staff is rude, don't return your calls and barely answers the phone. My son had 3 appts in the last year there and was never tested for the second time. The first time was a little over a year ago. The dr had said he was gonna test him for a second time at that appt which he never did for whatever reason. He told me to set up an appt for 1 year and they would test him then. I had called to confirm firm the appt because I had lost the card. When I called they told me he didn't have an appt scheduled. Which of course I couldn't find the card so I couldn't back it up. That was about April when I had called and I rescheduled but the first opening was the end of June. I actually had to cancel because of a family emergency so the next time was July 5th. My dad had taken him that time because I was at work. Because my son threw a fit they wouldn't test him again so I had to once again schedule another appt for August 2nd. We arrived at about 850 for his "9:15" appt. Or so that's what I was told. At 9:40 and 2 people that were called back before us that came in after us I decided to go up and ask if she knew how much longer it would be? Shortly she said. Then the reason I was given was that they have a lot of new patients and it's their busy season! I said well he has an appt. She asked his name and I told her and she said Oh well his appt isn't until 9:45! They she asked if I wanted to reschedule for another time. Of course I had to and then she informed me that it wouldn't be until the middle of September! Now why would you let someone sit in your waiting room without advising them? And well its really sad because it's not the dr I have an issue with its the office staff. read more
