They can make a break your visit. I saw Dr Moyer also rated as 10. Detailed, professional, listener and personable. We take breathing for granted until we have issues . That's when you overthink and stress about each breath. Not a great way to live. Dr Moyer helps and cares . Rating high on the first visit because I felt like his patient and not a number. 3 issues: Made new…read morepatient appt for my daughter on March 1st who had been in the critical unit of a medical center on a ventilator trying to recover from Anaphylaxis Asthma which almost killed her. Referred to an allergist, whom we called immediately. Issue 1: Had not received confirmation of appt. by April 2nd, so I tried to call several times without success. Finally sent an email. Auto email stated that my email was received and "someone" would respond "soon." On April 13th I had still not received a response or any new patient paperwork for our April 20th appt. Called and finally got a living person on the phone. Issue 2: Asked about new patient paperwork and was spoken to rudely and harshly....."we have a website you can refer to...." (ok, great, and had I been told that initially on March 1st, I would have done that - however, this still does not address confirmation of the April 20th appt.) Issue 3: Was referred to a leading Pulmonologist in Charleston, SC who stated that my daughter is a "complex case" who needs to be referred to someone higher up on the food chain - someone who deals with her dangerous type of allergy/asthma. This person is also a part of the Medical University of Charleston. At this time I voiced concern that I would not be able to drive 2.5 hours each way to Charleston 2x each week initially for the shots, and that even once a week would present problems, but was told that allergists/immunologists can administer the serum in their offices closer to where I live.Great! SO.......I asked this question and the receptionist responded, "no we don't do that, good luck" GOOD LUCK? REALLY? Not sure where she learned how to be professional, but she failed. As a person who has worked customer service, worked with children and adults as a teacher, and who has been a school administrator, I can honestly say that if she were working for me, it would be very short lived. I am appalled and disgusted as her lack of courtesy, professionalism, and judgement. I am only giving 1 star because Yelp requires a rating. This person as a direct representative of a medical facility should receive a no-star rating.

The fact that they right down exactly how you are feeling over the phone, send the message to the doctor whether, they are busy with patients or at the hospital with patients, these amazing doctors take the time out of their day at the quickest time to get right back to you and ask what is going on, symptoms being experienced etc. I am a new patient of Dr. Reluzco and I just went through this and she called me right back and took the time that she had from her busy morning to listen to me. A big Thank You to you, Dr. Reluzco! I really appreciate you! And to your team of course for everyone knowing my story and really caring about my health and medication situation. You are all very kind when I called and had a question and were all so very patient with me and I appreciate that so much! Thank you all for all that you do!

For months now I've been searching for a new sleep specialist, and after visiting several so called…read moresleep specialists I was about to give up. I told my primary care physician about all the trouble I was having when going to see these so called sleep specialists and she recommended that she refer me to Charleston Pulmonary. After a couple of days Charleston Pulmonary contacted me about an appointment, which was easy to get a date that was convenient for me. I did visit the office prior to the appointment to sign consent for them to get my medical records before my visit. The staff did all the "leg work" getting my records for me. When the day came for my appointment I arrived and was greeted upon walking in. I had to fill out some more paperwork; which is the worst part of visiting a doctor these days. After filling out my paperwork I was swept to the back to a room where I'd wait for the doctor. After sitting down I figured I'd be waiting a while so I pulled out my phone and started playing a game; but before the game could load the doctor was in there. First time I've had a doctor see me on time. Doctor Gunn was friendly and straightforward. He already had all my information and was well informed about my current treatment and made some recommendations to improve my treatment. Overall a great visit.

These folks are efficient and friendly and couldn't be more professional. But for 6 months, I have tried my hardest to be friendly to the receptionist. I greet her with a friendly hello each and every time and she simply couldn't be more rude. She literally will turn her head and look the other way when I say hello or give her my paper after my shots. I don't get it. She is the first impression patients get of this office and unfortunately, it's not a good one. Also, on two occasions, I have signed my name to get shots and she has waited until folks come in after me, and then calls their name, as if I'm not even there! Then when I question it she just says, "Oh, I must have missed you." It's sad because Dr. Moyer is exceptional.

After I was called into the examining room I was confronted by a woman named Nina or Lina who said she was the nurse. She asked why I was there and I told her I was there for allergy testing. I said i wanted a full allergy test. She asked me questions and asked my weight (never put me on a scale). Next, Dr Moyer, came in (excellent doctor) after examining me and finding I had pneumonia he prescribed to me medications and could not do the test while I was sick and wanted to see me in 2 weeks. On Oct 3rd I called to ask if I should still come in for my Oct 5th testing because my primary doctor had put me on another round of antibiotics. I had to leave a message on Nina or Lina's voicemail. Never heard back from her. On Oct 5th i was called by the office to ask if I was coming for my visit. I explained I left a message and never received a return call. On Oct 6th I called and got forwarded to April's voicemail. I left a voicemail for April and until today, Oct 17th, I still have not heard from April so I called the Florence office to speak to the office manager, Brenda. After getting three people on the phone I was told Brenda is off on mondays so I called the Little River office where Dr Moyer was seeing patients and was given every excuse not to speak to Dr Moyer himself. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes before hanging up. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The doctor may be terrific but his office staff is horrifying. How does an office manager take off Mondays? Howard
