Holly is an an AMAZING Allergist!!! My issue started in Jan and ran all the way to almost the middle of June. My neck and eye were puffy, swollen and so painfull. Rude. Crazy. Entitled. Difficult to work with. Bad reviews everywhere. I needed help and they wouldn't help me. Hung up on me.

Refused to take cash payment for services in order to charge me more for i insurance co-pay. Would not recommend.

Warning - long post. If you don't want to read it, short story is look for another doctor. I had an appointment with Dr. Brown in early February, based on a referral from my GP. The process to get scheduled and fill out all the paperwork through the patient portal was excellent. The office staff was also great to work with. The nurse walked me through the process and did all the "pin pricks" in a quick, fairly painless manner. My experience with Dr. Brown was unlike any medical interaction I've ever had, and at this point it's cost over $1,000 out-of-pocket. I was tested for over 50 different things. In a nutshell, nothing reacted. They even commented that the control barely reacted. When Dr. Brown came in she told me I'm not allergic to anything, I found this interesting because I'm allergic to cats, which was included in these tests. Admittedly when Dr. Brown said I wasn't allergic to anything, I said in a very surprised and most likely loud, "What? You're kidding!" It was more incredulousness than an attack. Immediately Dr. Brown got very defensive, and her nurse left the room never to come back. As I asked questions, and even offered to show a picture of the reaction I'm experiencing that drove my GP to recommend allergy testing, Dr. Brown got more and more offended and defensive. I realized the situation was escalating so I apologized and tried to explain what I have been experiencing. Dr. Brown's comment was, "It's okay. I get treated like crap every day, all day long." Needless to say, this caught me off guard. I started to ask questions, trying to make sense of the reactions I have been experiencing. The more questions I asked, the more offended Dr. Brown got. I offered to show her a picture of one of the reactions - my eyes practically swell shut. She told me it didn't matter, and that most likely my reactions were caused by contact irritants. I continued to apologize, trying to de-escalate the situation; her demeanor didn't change - there was an edge to the rest of the appointment. Dr. Brown's recommendation was to take Zyrtec daily - even though that's an antihistamine and according to Dr. Brown I'm not allergic to anything. For the record, I take Zyrtec to help with my cat allergy, and to manage the eye reactions I have - and it helps. What I don't understand is why an Allergist would recommend an antihistamine for irritation of the eyes caused by contact irritants. At the end of the appointment I apologized again. At this point Dr. Brown told me she would, "retire today" if she could. I am my best advocate when it comes to my healthcare. I've worked with physicians throughout my life, and asked questions, and have never been treated like this, or seen a doctor react in such a way. In fact, they've always appreciated my proactiveness and desire to understand what's going on. At this point I'm left wondering about the efficacy of the materials used to test me. My only option is to go to another Allergist and be tested again; however, insurance won't cover anything because I've already been tested once. Seriously, I'm trying to understand why on Earth this woman is a doctor. Her attitude and "bedside manner" leave a lot to be desired. read more

Great allergist ,friendly staff

Very unproffessional and rude staff. We come for shots regularly. The staff who give the shots have no regard for privacy and ask personal medical questions in front of an entire waiting room of people. I hate coming here but we need the allergy treatments. I've been coming to Dr. Holly Brown and receiving allergy shots close to three years and have always been treated with the best professional care. The shot clinic has great hours and they can get you in quickly. I like that there is two waiting rooms for after your shot--one with TV, table and children's toys and the other that is a quiet space with plenty of room. All of the staff has been friendly to me and have made an effort in remembering my name and how I react to shots and show genuine concern and care. Aside from the great staff, I have had wonderful results from the shots. I have severe spring allergies, mild fall allergies and some food allergies as well and I'm being treated for all of them. I used to wake up with my eyes swollen shut and itchy watery eyes every day to the point where makeup and looking nice just wasn't in the cards. There has been less than 5 times in 3 years that I've had to take allergy medication as the shots have worked so well for me. Although it is a commitment, I told myself to make it work I need to be diligent and continue to come. I started out going twice per week (two shots each time), then eventually went down to once visit per week, then one visit every other week and now I'm down to one visit (again, two shots each time) every three weeks. Everyone's journey will be different, but it's something I wish I would have done sooner as I've suffered since I was a baby of allergies and sickness for 30 years. read more

Dr Holly Brown is amazing. The front desk staff, nurses and billing are rude, uncooperative and inconsiderate.
