I'm being nice by giving them two stars because they really deserve one and a half at best. Ever…read moresince American Family Insurance went with Connect on the Auto Insurance end their customer service has been terrible. I haven't been able to log on to my account since that happened three years or so ago (or more). Their customer service agents never listen to me when I tell them that I've tried to change my password several times (as they always suggest) but it doesn't work and I can't log on. There were never any problems until the auto insurance part of the company was bought out by Connect, so the problem is obviously on their end. I'd rather do business with them online (going green) but since I can't log on to my account I have to do it by snail mail. Sending me forms costs them money so you'd think they'd want to fix the problem with my online account so I can pay the bills online, etc. But things never change because no one there listens. It's unprofessional and very frustrating!

My brother had car insurance with Connect and he died on August 7th. I reached out to Connect and…read moreasked about a refund of his premium covering the period from his death until December 1st when his policy would renew. I explained he had died without a will and the rest of the family consulted with a lawyer who said for the small estate and only 4 heirs, we could file affidavits of heirship with the state and take title to his car and house and avoid probate which saves us a lot of time and money. Since we're avoiding probate, the court has not appointed an Executor. Apparently, Connect will not issue a refund for the nearly 4 months of service they won't be providing as stated in this email from them: Policy Number: AI03894182 Dear Valued Client: Thank you for the information you have provided to date. Unfortunately, after reviewing your file, we would only be able to cancel the policy with a written request from the executor of the estate or will. If there is not an executor of the estate or will, then the policy will still expire coverages at the end of the current policy term on December 01, 2022. My response to that email: I find it strange that death doesnt cancel the policy. I guess Connect is more interested in pocketing the money for not providing a service. That probably makes your balance sheet look better, but doesn't say much about your common sense. I'd be more than happy to furnish a death certificate but I'll probably just post this on Yelp instead.
