As well as completing a total re fit in my absence, they also fitted blinds. Their motto Quality, Service and Trust says it all, I would also add they go beyond - it's rare nowadays to experience this level of service and workmanship. Highly recommended and a big thank you to Danny and the team.

They take away your old flooring and clear everything up as they go. Can't recommend the guys enough.

Although it was slow we were pleased with the finished result. We had more carpeting planned this year and returned to them again, but have been exertemely disappointed with the length of time (4months since paying in full- which is when the carpets have arrrived in the shop) to get carpets fitted as well as additional hidden payments (for plying floor prior to carpets being laid) added on at the last despite 5 visits by shop staff and fitters before agreeing quote. Would not recommend or use again.

Planned to do most of our new house using first floors, but later decided not to put all our eggs in one basket and see how they did with just kitchen and two bathrooms. Asked end of May if they could do the work before 18th June, which is when we would be on holiday. They said it would be a push but yes. Pencilled in 17th June. Ordered materials, paid deposit. To cut a long story short, we moved into our new house on 19th July with no kitchen or bathroom floors and no date given when the work could be done. We'd already paid for the materials so asked them to deliver so we could get our own fitters. They did, less some items we'd actually paid for (and they ignored my email to ask for an up to date invoice). My advice: visit their nice showroom, take some samples, choose what you like, then buy it online (it'll be cheaper) and find your own fitter - easy to do through mybuilder for example. Got the floor done nicely and quickly within 10 days around 15% cheaper than first floors' price. My analysis: giving them the benefit of the doubt, they're busy and can't cope with the business, so are messing around the lower value jobs (my job was around £1000 value). Without the benefit of the doubt, they are either incompetent in their admin or dishonest, or both.

We were very impressed by the excellent and friendly service we received there. Kevin couldn't have been more courteous or helpful and gave us as long as we wanted to choose wooden flooring and a stair/landing carpet. It did take quite a while because there really is an enormous choice of quality and durability, colour and price. We visited the shop two or three times in all, mostly seeing Bob on those other occasions. He was charming and humorous and, like Kevin, really knew the floor coverings on sale there inside out and was extremely helpful. We now have our beautiful stair carpet and wooden floor and are extremely pleased with both. We removed the old floor coverings ourselves but left the spiky tack strips in place around the edges to grip the carpet on the stairs and landing. Our only gripe is that they were obviously not the right tack strips for the carpet we chose because some of the sharp pins have come through the carpet in places. We rang the shop at once and someone came over and knocked them flat, out of sight, into the carpet there is apparently, no other way to deal with the problem without taking the carpet up again and that would be difficult on the stairs, especially. Since then we have found one or two more sharp pins at the edges and hammered them flat ourselves. I just wish the man who laid the carpet in the first place had told us that we needed different tack strips but nothing was said at the time. Apart from that, we are very happy with everything and will go there again when we need new flooring. We recommended the shop to our neighbours and they now have their new carpet too!

I have a huge crush on all things wicker and am on the hunt for my perfect Lloyd Loom Lusty chair,…read moreso I almost died when I saw this shop. It specialises in new wicker creations, including wicker chairs for kids, wicker tables and you guessed it, wicker book cases! Great if you're looking to capture the old fashioned sewing room look in your house. but there's also some nice, modern patio furniture showcased, and tall wicker chairs perfect for dining room interiors. To the left of the store there is a stretch of wall dedicated to dolls houses of every colour and style imaginable. This was a nice touch, and handy for local collectors as they had some glorious wee Victorian dolls, complete with changes of clothes, and lovely Georgian style furniture to complete the collection. The dolls houses were magical, especially the ones in pastel colours. One in particular caught my eye, to which my friend retorted, "I'm not surprised, it's the garish one..." it is true I like an odd collection of stuff but the more unique the better! And you can't argue that these dolls houses have something old worldy about them, as well as looking moderately like they've been modelled on Phoebe's magic house in Friends. A great shop for furniture and toys that are a bit less clumsy in style than today's world offers, but although the step back in time felt nice my quest for the perfect wicker chair continues.
