Also, ensure they REMOVE THE TAPE and clean up their metal shaving. They were okay; I would probably go somewhere else next time.

I was at the house when Mike, the Production Team Leader, came to give an estimate. I thought it would be a quick thing but Mike was extremely detailed in looking at the house and explaining to me what they do when they come to your home. I learned a lot about smoke. It was very interesting. Most of their work is with homes that have been damaged by fire or flood. In those situations they work with insurance companies. We were a little different as we were paying personally. The one thing Mike made clear was that cigarette and cigar smoke is very hard to remove and the company doesn't offer any guarantee. That part made me hesitate for a minute but I knew we needed to try to remove it and that we needed to use a professional. A couple of days later they emailed an estimate. It was within the range I was thinking it would be. My son approved and within a couple of days they were at the house. The whole service was going to take three days. I went over the second day because I was working on the deck outside. I met Nathan. He introduced himself. He was extremely nice. The third day my husband and I went over to finish cleaning the deck and Nathan and Brandon were there. They gave us a run down of all that had been done and said that they would be done that day. Not only was the smell of smoke gone but so was the "old folks" smell. The house smelled clean and fresh. I was blown away and highly impressed. This was a great experience. We purchased a radon mitigation system from SWAT Environmental one year ago. At the time they were quick to take our money and installation seemed to go well but the system soon began making terrible noises, so we called and were told someone would be in touch. No one ever called us back so we called again and could only reach their voice mail. After leaving numerous messages, they did not respond. It seems you can easily get through to the sales line but no one answers or checks voice mail on the service line. We FINALLY got through today and and contrary to our warranty, they want to charge us $250.00 just to come to our house. This is not in the original written agreement. I told them that is not what we were told or agreed upon and the woman named Karen was very rude and hung up on us when we asked her to show us where the contract says there would be a $250.00 charge on the warranty. She can't show us that because a $250.00 charge is not in the contract! Terrible company. Avoid them at all costs. I'd give zero stars if I could.
