I first learned of Russell Cusick and his artwork a few years back while dining at The Beacon Falls…read moreCafe, as his breathtaking mixed-media paintings adorned their walls. Fast forward a few years, and I came across Russ in a local Facebook group sharing his new and very unique creations which are mixed-media manhole covers. I thought the idea was both brilliant and unique. I reached out to Russ about purchasing one and as soon as it arrived I knew I wanted more. Ultimately, I ended up purchasing 4 custom commissions from Russ and have been thrilled with each piece. As an aside, I gifted two of the manhole covers and used the back as my own canvas to write down and share some family history. The recipients of the gifts loved them and it created an instant heirloom and a great conversational piece. Aside from being a very talented and approachable artist, Russ is a pleasure to deal with. He communicates with the client throughout the entire process, shares proofs of the concept with the client to ensure the final product matches your idea, he is patient and open to feedback and suggestions so that the final piece is on par with everyone's expectations, and he sets clear and reasonable deadlines which he meets or beats. In terms of pricing and transparency, I felt that Russ was more than fair. In fact, had I known that many of his pieces are actually financially obtainable and within a fair price range, I would've reached out to him sooner. Basically, if you have an idea and I mean any idea, reach out to Russ. I approached him with a really fun and crazy idea, and he knocked the final piece out of the park. Everyone who sees it loves it, and Russ was the one who took my idea and really improved it to help make the concept pop. In fact, if you drive by his shop you may even see one iteration of the idea in his window, as there is no clowning around there! On the whole, Russ is someone who enjoys a challenge, likes to make things happen, is an all-around great person and an equally great artist. Chances are Russ has ways to improve your idea and make it even better than you ever imagined. Ultimately, I cannot say enough great things about my experience in dealing with Russ Cusick and The Russell Cusick Gallery in Beacon, NY. In closing, if you have any custom art need for your home or just something in your head, reach out to Russ. Tell him what you are thinking, where you are thinking of placing the piece, and what other goals you have for the idea. Russ will figure out a way to work with you to your complete satisfaction. You will not be disappointed as I can recommend Russ Cusick with 110% confidence and certainty.

Chelsea has helped me with three rooms so far and I couldn't be happier! She is professional, attentive and truly brought my vision to life. Chelsea spent about an hour on the phone with me before the design process even started, so she could fully understand my lifestyle and vision. She even asked where I like to go clothes shopping, which to me is such an important question! In addition, Chelsea answered any questions in a promptly manner and she stayed within my budget! I cannot recommend her enough to my family and friends, and I can't wait to have Chelsea design my next space!

Estate Cabinetry supervised all parts of the operation ascertaining that all deliveries went smoothly, that our home was well protected from the work activity, and all components fit properly. Both Estate Cabinetry and Matra Building are highly recommended and are five ***** star businesses.

This was my third kitchen remodeling (two at my current house, thirty-odd years apart), along with many other remodeling projects. The Matras was among the very best of the numerous home improvement contractors I have worked with over the years. The planning stage was with Rocco. At my home and at the Estate Cabinetry showroom in Croton, he made great suggestions for materials, designs and colors and was obliging when once-or-twice I changed my mind on a selection or found something I liked online. During the three-week construction period, Anthony was on the job almost every day and Rocco was there often. Both take an old-school pride in their craftsmanship. Their crew was meticulous and the job site was always left neat and clean at the end of the day. The Matras did the entire project: planning, demo, installation, electrical, plumbing, taping, and painting. The only sub-contracting was for the granite countertop, which they handled as well. It was convenient one-stop shopping. Another plus was that Anthony and Rocco were very easy to communicate with throughout the process, promptly responding to texts, calls, and e-mails. Estate Cabinetry and Matra Construction are first-rate home-improvement outfits and I give them the highest recommendation. PGS
