I decided to get a private beginner ceramics lesson for my mom and I as something fun to do. The private lessons and classes are really affordable! The staff was very quick responding to all inquiries and questions before my class. Our teacher Alexis was so helpful and friendly. She first did a demonstration and then walked us through all of the steps. In our 1 hour private lesson we really learned a lot about the basics. Starting from scratch you definitely won't be able to make any masterpiece in just an hour class. At the end of the class you can recycle your clay, have your creation fired with a glaze for a little bit extra, or come back for another class to glaze it yourself. They have open studio for very low rates an hour, you can use their clay and wheels. There definitely seems to be a community of artists who use this space. But even as a beginner I felt very welcome here. My mom and I are both excited to go back! I would highly recommend this place.

The only downside is that it's longer than most classes in the area but you actually get to learn something not just sit through another powerpoint show. I think it's the only hands-on class and I got to do lots of cool things with a few different guns! Can't wait for my range time to come when I finally get my permit.
