We are so glad that we booked our wedding DJ through AllStar Weddings! DJ Tim was assigned to our wedding and we would definitely recommend him. Music is extremely important to my husband and I, and we had a vision for the music we wanted played during different parts of the wedding, from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to dancing. We spoke with DJ Tim prior to booking with AllStar and then again a couple of weeks before the wedding. He was very open to our curated playlist and had recommendations that we hadn't considered such as adding a couple of slow dances, and shared strategies for getting guests of different ages and backgrounds onto the dance floor. He did a fantastic job at the wedding using our playlist and managed to keep people dancing all night. Additionally, he arrived at our venue on time, handled setting up the audio equipment, lighting, and ceremony microphones with skillful ease, and MC'd the evening with professionalism and accuracy with our plans. DJ Brian Mac was such a hit at our wedding! He was on time, professional, and full of energy! He played the perfect songs at the right time, and the dance floor was literally NEVER empty! We had a lot of song requests for wedding party entrances, etc. and he nailed them all! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone! The uplighting and photo booth was on point too! The uplighting was exactly what I had imagined and the color choice was PERFECT! Our photo booth attendant was so fun and lively with the guests! At the end of the night we even got a digital copy of all of the guests photos and we are obsessed! We loved being able to see everyone having so much fun! The ease of working with this company while planning our wedding made them stand out from the rest. We had a meeting in office then chose our DJ based on videos and samples. We chose Peter Healy to DJ our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in downtown Salem and I am so happy we did. Without question, Peter made the wedding what it was. We gave him a list of must have songs that gave him a strong idea of the kind of music we like and he got EVERYONE dancing-- even the elderly folks-- our dance floor was packed all night. We cannot say enough great things about Peter and his UpLighting assistant. We really enjoyed working with Brian McCarthy. He understood our tastes in music and the atmosphere we were going with. We had lots of children at the wedding, and he did lots of fun dances for them, which was really fun. He was pretty crazy on the dance floor, and definitely entertaining. Lots of people enjoyed the handkerchief game that he had us play. He also did a great job handling our the venue staff which tried to get him to lower the music earlier than we had agreed upon when selecting the venue. read more

We booked our DJ Peter Healey, and our uplighting tech from All Star and couldn't be happier with the results! We sat down with Peter a few days before the wedding and talked about what we wanted out of the wedding, and Peter gave us his suggestions as well. We were concerned about keeping both my wife's Greek family, and my American family happy with the music selection, while also playing some beachy music to go along with the theme of the wedding...Peter nailed it! The dance floor was full the entire night! I cant recall our uplighting techs name, but she did a fantastic job as well! The place looked stunning! The colors of the lights changed during the important dances to fit the mood better, and also allowed for better pictures. She also nailed the lighting for my secret Ghostbusters themed entrance. If i could give Michael Edwards (owner and also DJ) of Allstar Entertainment six stars I would. He was wonderful! Michael was a pleasure to work with and very professional. He perfectly captured the type of music and wedding style we were aiming for. He made sure to find all the songs we wanted to play and timed them perfectly. He even was able to play a song off YouTube on the spot. He let the music do the talking without any tacky gimmicks or games. Most importantly, he made sure to coordinate with the hotel, to look at the space and to test all of their equipment. He even brought his own equipment for playing our slide show. If you are looking for a professional JP, look no further. We had a short notice wedding in July- but wanted a likeable "real" person who could marry us and leave us feeling special. Justice Michael met with us on a Saturday in his wonderful office, and crafted the perfect 'ceremony' for US. He let us know exactly what to expect, listened to us, and included us in each step of the process. We had a wonderful personalized ceremony in Boston and we even included a "wine box" that he suggested based on our personality and love of wine! Our marriage certificate was filed immediately after our wedding, and we were able to pick up our license just a few short days after our wedding. Jeremy made the process easy, even willing to have phone calls at 9pm to accommodate our schedule. Jeremy was excited, engaged and efficient. We walked through the details beginning to end; the day of the celebration matched exactly. Acoustics for the outside ceremony were perfect, the introductions and cues throughout the night were spot on and most importantly the dance floor was full all night! Peter Healey is FANTASTIC! He was the DJ for our wedding and I can't say enough positive things about him. All of our guests have commented after the wedding about how great he was. And having a great DJ really makes the wedding! We had a great conversation with Peter a week before the wedding to review our paperwork and preferences. I could tell he was taking notes on our preferences as well as name pronunciations (which he nailed). At the wedding, right before the wedding party introductions he pumped everyone up for their entrance and it worked! I CANNOT say enough wonderful things about my experience with this company!!! From the very beginning, Michael Edwards (the owner) was very attentive, flexible, accommodating, and just an all around pleasure to work with! I set up all of the initial arrangements via email but finally got to visit their offices when I went to pay the check, and they are very impressive. The office is beautiful and the showroom, where they give you a little taste of what they can do for your event, is really neat! But, of course, the real fun came the night of our actual event and our designer, Michael Wonson, was equally wonderful to work with and did excellent work! He was friendly, professional, punctual, and did awesome things with the lighting that truly completed the ambiance of our event. They were wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Last, but certainly not least, the value of what we received, for the price we paid, was not even CLOSE to being matched by any of the other providers I inquired about. One word - OUTSTANDING! Michael Edwards & AllStar Entertainment was the best vendor we booked for our September 5th 2010 wedding. We met Michael in 2009 and immediately felt that he had a vested interest in supplying our 'type' of music for our wedding. He was attentive, had great ideas, and made such an impression. He was already drawing up a playlist from our conversation and we hadn't even booked with him! The one other DJ we met with did not 'wow' us at all. It was a second job to him, it seemed like he just showed up and hit play of the same list he did for every wedding! After that meeting we knew that Michael was the best choice to DJ our wedding. Peter Healey met with us a few weeks before our wedding to get to know us and get an idea of what kind of music we were looking for. He really made us feel that we could relax and leave it to him manage the flow of events at the reception. We indicated what songs we wanted for certain moments, but Peter did a great job choosing the dance music. Once he got the guests on the floor he kept them there. He also provided music for the cocktail hour that was audible but unobtrusive. As promised, Peter kept the reception flowing smoothly, even when things didn't go exactly as planned (e.g. many more speeches than expected). Our wedding was this past weekend and it was done up by All-Star Entertainment (lighting, Dj, and photo booth)and let me tell you, we never could have imagined how incredible they would be. The uplighting looked amazing and the photo booth was a big hit. But the star of the show was the amazing Tommy Sheehan, our Dj! We did not stop hearing how great our DJ was the entire weekend. Our son was married recently and James DiNanno was the DJ. I believe he was the best wedding DJ I've ever experienced (and I'm in my 50's). Dinner took a bit too long and he filled in that time very with special dances and excellent oldies and he made the night go seemlessly. He had the music a little lower during dinner and a few adults commented to me that they were pleased they could talk during that time and did not have to scream. He read the crowd very well and knew when it was time to get the louder dance music going. I could tell he was playing what the dance crowd wanted to hear based on their reactions. I had a blast and I know the bride and groom were pleased as well and he orchestrated the night just the way they wanted, as well as improvising as needed. We would highly recommend this company - completely accommodating & reliable. We searched the web for a good DJ for our wedding and ended up putting in calls/emails out to about 5. Lucky for us - Nick Powers for AllStar Entertainment was one of them. Nick was easy to be in touch with and ready to meet at a time and place that worked for us. Once booked - he was still easy to get in touch with and even drove over 30 minutes to meet with us a few weeks before the wedding. He was receptive to all our ideas & listened to us to offer some of his own suggestions without being overbearing. The day before our wedding - we had to change the start time to 6 hours ahead because of inclement weather. AllStar management & Nick were the ultimate professionals. They made it 6+ hours ahead to set up and be ready for our wedding. Nick played great music that worked for our guests. Per our request - he played a few International songs that we burned on a cd for him at just the right times. He kept things moving without taking over the dance floor. Michael Edwards of AllStar Entertainment and Uplighting was simply brilliant as our wedding DJ (We got married 4.30.2011)! He was very supportive of our music choices and always had great ideas/suggestions when we were unsure what sort of music to use. My daughter, Gina, was married on September 7th and we chose to have AllStar Entertainment provide the music for her reception. I have two words for all of you - "Peter Healey". This man is talented, organized, very professional, calming and full of energy and excitement. Peter worked with the function people to keep everyone in the wedding party on a timeline and he played every song that my daughter wanted. Peter even met with us at my home a week before the wedding to go over all the details of the wedding. Peter had everyone up and dancing when my daughter and son-in-law were announced into the room and he kept them dancing for the rest of the night. We had awesome music played through dinner and Peter made sure that he had a mix that everyone would enjoy throughout the night. I can't say enough about Peter Healey.
