My son and I were on our way to the House of Culture in to see the illusionist duo Brynolf & Ljung, but before that we needed dinner. The choice fell on AllStar as when going with kids they are the primary focus, and this kind of place suits them just fine while my expectations might be less than that. But slap my ass and call me Sally, they actually impressed me more than I could have imagined! As it was a Friday they had their After Work buffet up for grabs, and being seated at our table it looked surprisingly fresh, well thought-out and balanced without the usual buffet overload of ingredients that make you naseous just looking at it. While Lukas settled for a serving of spare-ribs I threw caution to the wind and went for the buffet, and it was delicious. Moist meat, fresh salads, tasty chicken skewers, creamy potato gratin, as well as a dessert serving of pannacotta with berries, chocolate mud cake with cream and coffee. You know, for the price you pay for the buffet I must say it's price-worthy, good quality, tasty food and acceptable service. I almost feel I got a little more than I paid for, and that's a real positive point in my book! So for an AW Friday, this fits the bill perfectly! read more
