Hands down, THE BEST place to go to obtain your commercial drivers license. I just obtained my class B today thanks to this top notch school. The difference? Ten, one and a half hour PRIVATE lessons. That's right..... no large groups jockeying for space, trying to watch an instructor teach the ins and outs of driving a truck. You're one on one here. The instructors are TOP SHELF, knowledgeable, patient and legitimately care about their students success. The support staff (admin) is also fantastic. Tremendous communication. They also provide video instructional tutorials at the facility on Class A and B pre trips that are a MUST to watch as often as possible to ensure your success in conjunction with your lessons. Shortly after signing up, you'll attend your 8 hour classroom course with " Uncle Jim". Jim couldn't be a nicer guy and his knowledge of the trucking industry, especially HAZMAT, is unmatched. Soon after completion of this course you will begin your lessons. This school has amazing availability..... nights, weekends..... VERY accommodating. I mainly trained with Rob and Nate. I can not say enough positive things about these two fine gentleman. Knowledgeable and easy going, they made me completely comfortable and at ease from the start. I am forever grateful to these men. Seymour Allstate Driving School was awesome! 1 on 1 training is the way to go! I went for my cdl class B license and it took about 2 and a half months to complete. A great school if your pursuing a commercial truck driving career. The instructors are very knowledgeable, have a great understanding of commercial truck driving and the laws. Currently training at Allstate to get my CDL A. The school offers one on one training and every instructor I have had is very patient and have each given me great advise on how to make the maneuvers and help in remembering the pre-trip for my up and coming test date. The instructors are ex truck drivers with miles of experience (one has over 3 million miles) but have also years of training at Allstate under their belts.The trucks I have used are all in great condition and can accommodate for both standard and automatic transmission driving. The school has several Computer kiosks with attached headphones where you can take your time in watching videos to assist in preparation for your test. I highly recommend this school for anyone interested in obtaining a commercial drivers license. read more

if you want your cdl, go to allstate. they are awesome! the 1-on-1 training is optimal. their instructors are very knowledgeable, especially if you get the instructor i had, Joe. when i first came to the school i didnt know a thing about trucks and he taught me so much in a short period of time where i actually remembered the things he taught me. he boosted my confidence level tremendously and if i made a mistake he helped me not take it to heart reminding me that everyone makes mistakes. and ive grown since those mistakes. thank you allstate for the great experience. read more

I recently retired and took on part time employment. As a small part of this employment, my employer required upgrading my license to a CDL class B. I searched online and found Allstate Commercial Driving School. The school had good ratings by those that had previously passed through the program. Best of all, the instruction is "one-on-one", meaning you're not sitting around waiting for your turn and watching while others are testing in the trucks or busses. You're training one-on-one with an instructor each time until your final practical test with a DMV Agent or Inspector. After meeting with Tom O'Shea and touring the Seymour facility, I decided it was a good fit. I pitched the program to my employer and the dates of training were set. My main instructor was Walter who was very straightforward and knowledgeable. Walter made the pre-trip inspection, maneuvers, and driving routes easy and enjoyable. He always made sure I covered some of the main issues in the pre-trip and driving maneuvers without flaw. Driving sessions flew-by and before I knew it, test day with the DMV Inspector was scheduled. Everyone will have "test day nerves", but Walter ensured I had the skills and confidence to get it done. Walter said many times, "You got this!" I did, and now have the CDL. Graduated in 2021. If you've just RECEIVED your CLP, DON'T EXPECT TO START SCHOOL FOR ATLEAST 2 AND A HALF MONTHS AND THAN ANOTHER 3 MONTHS UNTILL YOU'RE DONE WITH TRAINING AND THAN YOUR DMV TEST DATE WILL BE 3 WEEKS TO A MONTH OUT FROM WHEN YOU ACTUALLY FINISH SCHOOLING" A TOTAL OF 6 MONTHS FROM WHEN YOU RECEIVED YOUR CMV! WANT TO GET TO WORK AND ON YOUR JOURNEY ID SAY TO GO WITH A MEGA CARRIER AND JUST TAKE THE 1 YEAR CONTRACT WITH THEIR TRAINING FOR YOUR CDL CLASS A FOR FREEEEE" THE TRUCKS AT THIS LOCATION ARE ALL BAD TRUCKS!!!! EVERY TRUCK HAS ITS STEERING WHEEL UPSIDE DOWN MAKING A NEW DRIVER UNAWARE OF WHERE THE STEERING WHEELS ARE FOR NEW DRIVERS THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST UPSET!!!! and every truck is pure JUNK!!! The school has bad instructors all of which instruct differently on trainings & amongst trainers they do not adhere to what things in a particular corse one was given in practice to the next trainer, leaving your next day's trainer to give you a training as if one has not recieve points of views on a corse one may have problems with, leaving one annoyed! A few really great trainers and a few very bad trainers. Don't ask the office for a different trainer because you will have hands flying around and a voice raised at you for doing so which is very unpleasant when one is there for wanting to be trained as a truck driver" The wait time on starting in this school is ridiculous " !!!! And you'll be given just 2 classes per week at just 1 hour and 20 minutes long, killing your drive for wanting to be at the school training daily to begin your career. The school is family owned, father & sons so if you're looking for common courtesy to be treated politely this school is the wrong location. What an AWESOME experience! I came into that school knowing absolutely nothing about Class B vehicles and now I can drive them and perform an air leakage test, low pressure warning test and brake test as well. If you really want a great place to learn where you get one on one training by great trainers, this is the place for you! My trainer was Holly who was nice, funny and super patient with me but all the trainers are really great there. If you're ready for a career change like I was... don't hesitate to call them today. I'm a former student of All State Commercial Driving. I had one of the most rewarding experiences with this program. Within two weeks I was able to obtain my CDL license Class B. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful with tuition, questions and concerns. May I mention they help with job placement. Every instructor I had was great and will work with you in a professional way to make sure you feel comfortable during every step of the training. The inside staff is awesome as well and will work with you professionally to get you set up perfectly with whatever training course you are signing up for. After you graduate from your desired course they also will help you search for local companies that are hiring in your field.
