Filed a claim in good faith with Allstate, only to be denied the day before an appraisal was scheduled. Allstate made the decision before an expert could give his/her evaluation of our catastrophe. I appealed to this office and I appealed to the national claims office. Absolutely no consideration from either. After the fact, through research, I discovered that Allstate denies more claims than any other major insurance company. Learned the hard way. Feb 27. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from this Office "Maria Ventimiglia-Allstate Insurance" I had called a couple of weeks before to request that they remove the automatic payments of my policies from my bank account and all they did was remove the automatic payment from one policy and left the other running normally, resulting in that bank account having overdraft charges. When I asked to speak directly to the general manager of this office to present my complaint, I spoke to her, told her my complaint and also told her that her office never returned phone calls, she told me that she would check what was happening and that she would call me back. But everything got worse when she called me back because instead of her showing empathy and giving me a solution, everything got out of control, She put me on a three-way phone call with the agent who made the mistake, they started interrupting me, talking at the same time, talking over me, bad attitude, they were arguing about the payment method, (I tried to explain to her that the issue was not the payment method, the issue was that I had requested with a couple weeks in advance that they remove automatic payments from ALL MY POLICIES, Not just from One, because that bank account would no longer be available) I had to call directly to the Allstate national phone number to do what they couldn't do from the beginning. This office definitely needs to work more on the basics of customer service: Listen, Don't argue with the customer, Show empathy, Apologize and Find a solution.... Worst experience I've ever had. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! After over 40 years of working with an Allstate agent he left and Maria Ventimiglia was assigned my policies. She never bothered to contact me to introduce herself or anything. When my homeowners came up for renewal it just got renewed. I looked around and found that Allstate had policies that were 700/year less, with virtually the same coverage. Did Maria contact me to see if I wanted to save 700? No. So I contacted Allstate saying I wanted to change agents as I prefer an agent who is interested in me and wants to do the best for me. Well to my SHOCK Allstate advised that I CANNOT change from Maria for one year from when she took over my policies due to Allstate's contract with her. The only way I can get rid of Maria as my agent is to actually leave Allstate, which I am in the process of doing. Sad since I have been with Allstate for over 40 years but I refuse to be treated as property or have an agent who is too busy to take care of her policyholders. Donna Gutman read more

I have had coverage with Maria since 2011 on our home and have been an Allstate customer since 1985. I received notice today December 21st that my homeowners policy had been cancelled on November 9th. I never received a cancellation notice or a phone call from my agent, just a notice that I owed money and that my policy was cancelled over 6 weeks ago. I could not be more upset. We have had guests at our home, if someone had been hurt this could have resulted in financial ruin. I highly recommend finding another agent who will provide better care for your financial well being. read more

Worst insurance company and agent EVER. After over 25 years with a rate increase EVERY six months with no accidents I changed to State Farm! Same coverage but WAY cheaper and much better service. read more

June 16, ahead of my last day in the property on June 24, I called to let the agency know that I am moving out due to owners selling the property and that I needed to cancel the policy since my new residence had insurance included in the rent. I made payment in full and confirmed with Adalina that everything was taken care of and the policy would term on the 24th. She confirmed and I went along with my business. Today, October 31, I received a text message that I've been sent to collections for $29. I called the agency to notify them of the issue and figure out what happened. The first agent, who was a very nice and respectable man, let me know the policy was canceled as of August 20 due to nonpayment, but needed to transfer me to the office manager, who I believe was Cecelia or Selena. This person was short, constantly interupted me, and said she couldn't "backdate the issue to June 24 unless I have proof of the cancelation, and that the normal policy is that a cancelation email is sent out. Good news, except they didn't have the right email. In fact, they had an outdated email for several years. The office manager insulted me over the phone and said I wasn't listening to her. Not only am I shocked, but I figured I should leave a review to help others make a better decision when deciding who to do business with. Unsurprisingly, it seems that others haven't had a great experience with this agency either. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. I received my renewal for my homeowners insurance and the premium increased $300. When I called to question why it went up the basic reason was because I had paid off my mortgage and now lost that discount because I was self-pay. I called other companies for quotes and I am now getting my insurance for $600 a year less because all along they did not quote my policy correctly. Agency is a complete rip off be careful if you work with them. read more
