I recently received my annual homeowners renewal notice and decided now would be a good time to shop around. Especially since they were increasing my premium- not a huge increase but nonetheless an increase and like everyone I want to be smart with my money. I decided to call an independent agency as they will do all the leg work for you, compare companies and find the best coverage for your situation. I called Philleo Agency Insurance in Brookfield and what a stroke of luck that was! Jenna Starr took my call and listened to what I needed. She asked me many detailed questions about my home and current coverage. Then she asked me to send over my current insurance company's declaration of coverage so that she could do a thorough comparison. After 3 days Jenna called me and was excited to tell Me she found me some great coverage, for BOTH my home and car, much more than I currently had and for less money. She emailed me The paperwork so we could review it. Then a few days later we met in her office and went over all the coverage and numbers. I was amazed at the increase in coverage including a one million dollar umbrella policy and it cost me much less- Than I was currently paying. The company I am now with is A+ rated too. Philleo is a small agency and I like the fact that they actually have an office that I can walk into and talk to my agent. I also like that when I call a human picks up the phone- none of this "press 1 if you want blah blah blah..." sometime I just want to talk to a person! They truly know the meaning of customer service. The personal touch was evident in all our conversations. I certainly hope I will never have to call Jenna with a claim BUT if I do, I know I will be well taken care of. Jenna handled everything even cancelling my current policy. It was a total "No-brainer" MORE Coverage for LESSI money. I am so happy I finally reviewed my current home and auto policies and that I called Philleo Agency Insurance. My parents had Allstate home and auto for 38 years and were with Dave and his office specifically for I believe at least 10 of those years. Their home on 52nd and Cleveland was flooded due to once again the city's terrible job of water management and the basement walls caved in, scaring them as elders terribly. The house was a loss. My parents were so upset and shook that I took over the process of dealing with insurance and the City of Milwaukee. Of course I was told that they didn't have flood insurance but when I asked about sewer backup insurance I was told by an agent that my parents didn't have that either.....My mom said it was never offered and this is the first time she's heard of it. Never the less, the agent I spoke with told me that if he were to "get in the Allstate car and come out to the house, it was going to be denied as a claim and their insurance would GO UP!!!" Mind you, they never made a SINGLE CLAIM in those 38 years!! To add insult to injury they never received so much as a phone call, email, letter, ANYTHING from Dave himself personally to say sorry for their loss. Thanks for 38 years of premiums though, right? I suppose this review will be put on the "have to download the app" like the one other bad review while the good reviews are there for all to see. Of course Allstate and Dave have been dropped since.
