He listens to me…read morecarefully, looks for what I want (even if something else would surely have been a "bigger sell"), finds what I need, and tailors it precisely to what I am seeking. In recent years, my experience has been that an agent typically presents me with a sort of "normal" insurance package--for auto or home: the kind of thing most people ask for, I suppose. But when I told Miguel certain less common details about my needs, he carefully designed packages that provided what matters to me, and helped me look for ways in which I might change coverage and have greater savings. In short: he came up with policy proposals that I would have designed myself, if I had had the kind of knowledge of the intricacies of the field, and the technical vocabulary, that he has, and puts to work for him--and me. Another thing I appreciated was that when I simply didn't understand some element in his proposal, and asked what to many people more experienced than I might have been a 'dumb' question, Miguel patiently and clearly explained, so that I had a good understanding and could make a wiser decision than I would have had he been a less capable and willing teacher. A review of someone that is nothing but positives is bound to be distrusted, so let me seek a negative...hmmmmm....ah, yes! On occasion it took a day or two for him to get back to me. I suppose a quicker response would have been nice. (Though, in all honesty, his "day or two" was quicker than my previous agents' typical response times). I am convinced that had my need been more urgent, his response would have been quicker. As I said, "he is on MY side."
