I did via the website and everything looked good but I also had a potential lingering issue with my homeowners insurance that the 800# number rep. mentioned might be better handled locally. Fair enough. I call the Whitehall office and the person who answers the phone said that she can't help me and that the agent is busy. She recommends that I make an appointment and come in a day or two later to speak with the agent himself. Fair Enough. I show up the day of the appointment and the same person I spoke with on the phone is the one who greats me behind her desk. She says that the agent is too busy to see me but that he recommends waiting to see if the pending issue (it was legal-but it also never happened) occurs and if closer to the time of my existing policy running out, the issue doesn't move forward, them maybe he can help me. Great. I love getting the run around, being lied to and having my time wasted. For whatever reason I stuck with Geico by going home and recalling the 800# and they finished the transaction without issue in ten minutes. Fast forward a year or two and while Geico giveth with their 15% rebate, when my renewal recently came up they also taketh away with an arbitrary 25% rate increase. I call the 800# and Zachary tells me he has no idea but likely it's because of a high number of Covid cases in my area which equates to more risk for the company. No crap. Not making up that answer. What a pile of BS in relation to an auto insurance policy. He also recommends calling the local agent who he says could possibly work with me to explain things better or see if any other discounts are available. Based on my last go around with the local office where appointments are not honored I took this as a sign that it was time to move on and I did. Shopped around and beat their quote easily without issue. Of course now Geico wants me back which is why I've gotten multiple emails and pieces of regular mail asking me not to forget about them, etc. Thanks but no thanks. (While I will certainly admit that my experience(s) could be an outlier, either way they happened and I wouldn't dream of doing business with this office or this company again.)

I had insurance on my car and used their road side assistance which is through a company called tow…read morebusters which has really poor ratings. I need my car towed and had them tow it to a shop of my request. Without calling me and giving me the information of the name of the person towing the car they just came and towed my car during the night and it never made it to where I wanted them to tow it too. My car was missing for months . When I told them I was about to go to the magistrate to put out a lawsuit for blue book value of my car all sudden I got letter that it was in the impound lot. When i contacted them and asked them to describe where they took my var they described it as to where it should of went to act like they didnt steal my car that the perosn i had it tsken to stole my car . But yet it was picked up and impounded up the street at a place that sells RVs. When ak sed to describe where ir was picked up if that is where it was they would of described it to me as a place that has RVs . But no RVs was described to me . If it truly was there the whole time . Im sure it woild of been impounded sitting there way befoee it was month later. STATE FARM /Chuck Watkins Agency…read more PLEASE read!!! 10/25/23 9:05 am , Contacted Chet Watkins office in Bensalem PA, for a quote on car and homeowners insurance, spoke with Danielle the admin, then transferred me to Tom for a quote for car& home policy to be effective TODAY November 1st . Tom who was working from home as he was ill, after providing car/ property /personal information, given pricing. We approved, and Tom then began to enter the policy into the system which only took a few minutes... then said State Farm is not insuring Kia's in our year range due to high theft. we advised him we had a Club on the car, a GPS tracker, as well as the completed update with the Kia dealer (documented) . Tom said he would call Chuck Watkins directly to see if he could do anything. He called back in approximately 10 minutes or so and said unfortunately, State Farm declined to cover us and that the loss of the additional car & home discount would not make sense for us just to insure just our home with them. Tom apologized, said our best course of action was to contact other companies so we get the best discount and ended the call. Note: we of course signed with another company the following day at lower pricing and with no Kia or other issue whatsoever as we provided the same photos and documents State Farm declined to review. GETS WORSE...Today, November 1, 2023 we received a call from Jerry who had left two previous messages (10/27 & 10/31) stating his company was retained by State Farm to do a property inspection for our homeowners policy??? NOTE: If our policy needed to be in place at midnight, why would State Farm still have an inspection scheduled for today? I advised Jerry that State Farm declined to cover us and why they wouldn't and that we already signed with another company....Jerry advised he works for a third-party company that was contracted by State Farm and that the request is generated by State Farm at the agent level. WHAT???? Per my conversation with him, his company gets paid regardless, and the agent then appears as if they are actually doing something to gain business for State Farm? THEY declined US almost a week ago! WHAT? I've tried calling Chuck Watkins office three times this morning since 9 AM when the office is supposed to be open and staffed - Only voicemail ....curious as to who pays for that third-party inspection?? I'm sure the cost at some point rolls into the customers bills.... Disgraceful .... from my conversation with the inspector we were NOT a one off....that it happens all the time... What a disgrace to waste people's time ( ours and the inspectors) and money just so you look like you're doing something you actually aren't.... Shame on you...
