They've changed their business model to a strict hands off approach to customer service. They are now highly unresponsive to issues once they've "sold you". The "agents" now do NOTHING but sales. They simply sell you and then ghost you. So now I'm shopping for a new insurance broker, not just an insurance carrier! After 15 years I'm DONE with Goosehead!

To add insult to injury, when I questioned them about the steep increase they basically said that I should be grateful to them for even insuring me based on my zip code alone. Needless to say, it was time to part ways with that company. For years I had been buying insurance online which would entail the impersonal task of dealing with a different call center rep anytime I needed additional help with quotes, or had issues to be resolved. I had actually forgotten how refreshing it is to talk to someone at a local company who is familiar with the area in which I live and can better relate to my circumstances. That is, until I called the Matthew Reinhardt State Farm Office. I spoke with Megan who was immediately so personable and eager to assist. Together we went over every detail of my current homeowners and auto policies. I wasn't necessarily looking for a new auto policy at the time, but when it comes to insurance, bundling is your friend! She managed to essentially match all my existing coverages and reduce the cost for both auto and homeowners insurance by hundreds of dollars at the same time. This was the best news I had heard in a while because no other company even came close to their rates. I don't normally recommend insurance companies since my experiences with them have typically been unremarkable at best. But this place really impressed me with their level of customer service and ability to offer unbeatable prices.

Bait and Switch - We are not the first to get scammed by Taite Insuance. Our 22 year old son…read more(Keller High School, now at Texas Tech) was contacted by Bill and was told he could save him a ton of money on his car insurance. Our son (a part time cook at Sonic) who is always trying to save money took the bait. Bill came back with a price that was going to save him over $70 bucks a month - a big deal for him. Our son paid Bill the first month premium, got his proof of insurance card from Bill, then went on to cancel his previous insurance coverage. The following day Bill sends him an email saying that the price he gave our son was wrong and that in fact he is now going to need to pay even more than what he was paying previously. After quoting a price 3 times, cashing his check, issuing an insurance card, Bill had nerve to came back with a NEW price that was $20.00 more than what he was paying with his previous insurance company. Needless to say this was a total bait and switch!!! Our son had to go back to his old insurance company (who he had canceled) and they in turn used the opportunity to raise his rates as he was coming back with his tail between his legs. Then on top of it it took 2 1/2 weeks for Bill to return the money to our son. I have noticed from other reviews on Google this is not the first time Bill Taite Insurance has done this to people of our community. Stay away is my advice. BTW - can't wait to see what kind of BS response I get from this post from Bill.
