But when he decided to leave the insurance industry (should have been my hint that things weren't great behind the scenes) my customer service went way down. My business was handed to the owner, Wil Stephany. Like any business owner, Wil wears many hats and is concerned with his bottom line. The personalized calls and answers to my questions became very brief as a result and I would get automated emails that conflicted with what I was being told. Understandable since he has a lot going on, but if he was too busy to work with me as an agent, my business should have been delegated to someone else. However, year after year my premiums would go up and I was told it was just the trends of the industry. Also true, but I kept finding better deals online for the same coverage. I rationalized it away thinking "it's okay, I'm paying more because I have an agent who will be my advocate if I ever need to make a claim" Boy was I wrong. Your agent is supposed to work for you and be your champion to the insurance provider. Not assist in gaslighting and refusing to answer basic questions or lamenting how much time you've wasted by airing your grievances and concerns. I sincerely caution any considering to work with this group that you will get smiles and pleasantries until you actually need them to do something for you beyond the bare minimum of processing your renewal. Go elsewhere, or skip having an agent altogether. Paying extra for their 'services' certainly wasted my time.
