I am really upset and am warning everyone to check their policy. Globe life made changes to my…read moreinsurance policy without my approval after 12 years of paying. In 2014 I got insurance coverage on my then husband for $40,000.00. I put my daughters as beneficiary, but I was paying it. I have medical issues, so I didn't qualify but he did. In 2019, i got divorced, which shouldn't matter because I continued to pay it. My policy # is 006332375. In January they sent me a letter stating that they were changing the policy owner to my ex-husband. I called, they wouldn't give me a straight answer, I requested to speak to a supervisor and in so many words, she stated yes, we changed him to the policy owner. Of course I was upset and still am which is why it took me so long to write this review. She said that Globe life did an audit on my policy and changed it to him as the new policy owner. I said but I am paying, she said anyone can pay for the policy but only the owner can decide who the beneficiary can be. I was like but I have been paying for it for 12 years, how can you all just change a policy because you decided to , especially after 12 years. I can't get my money back and cannot remove my ex-husband as the owner of the policy. I cant afford to get an attorney so basically I am out 12 years of payments. Its too late for me, but be cautious before you get a policy with Globe and you should call to see if your policy was audited and they made changes. This is outrageous and not ok. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do, so I just stopped paying my policy. Beware.
