Larry is Absolutely Amazing, however Paula was an Absolute nightmare. She was very disrespectful…read moreand would not even allow me to finish my questions. When I asked to speak with her manager, she said that she was the manager knowing that my request was to speak with her boss, Larry. After continually over-talking me, she hung up in my face and still did not fulfill the service request that I called for. In addition to her attitude, in an effort to stall the cancelation that we requested, she lied and told my parents that by law she had to have evidence that the plates to the vehicles were returned to the DMV. You do not need to return your plates to the DMV just because you are switching insurance companies and she knows that. She tried to use the fact that my parents were relocating as an excuse, but after speaking with the NYS DMV, this has no barring on our desire to cancel our policy with Allstate. Per a supervisor at the DMV, as long as the plates are surrendered within 30 days of the insurance cancelation, we should not have a problem. She was lying to my mom in hopes that we would not do our research and that is unethical. This is not the first time that me or my family has had to deal with her attitude and unprofessionalism. The last time Paula interacted with my mother, she (my mom) had to submit a written complaint to the corporate office in order for action to be taken. Her attitude is disgusting and does not reflect who Larry is as a person or a businessman. She should be fired. This time I will be filing a complaint with both the corporate office and the New York State Department of Financial Services. I will also be contacting the NYS Insurance commissioners office directly.

She has often been short & abrassive over the many years I've had a Policy there...but this time she was over-the-top unprofessional & literally hung up on me. Plus she wouldn't answer the phone when I immediately called back, thus I had to call another Allstate Agent + 1-800# for help (& was advised to directly inform the Agency owner Larry of this exceptionally bad, not-isolated experience). I see others on Yelp have also experienced this unfortunate treatment. Larry's business & customers totally suffer by having Paula work for him.

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!! I had been a customer…read moreof Karen Butterson's Allstate agency in the past. When she left I was automatically assigned to a different agent. Earlier this week I was cold-called by a woman named Lori who, in a voice- mail, stated that Karen had opened an independent agency and they wanted to give me a quote. She (practically) assured me they would save me "hundreds of dollars compared to Allstate". I called back to get my auto and homeowners insurance quotes. The biggest issue is that the auto quote that was sent to me was not mine! I am sure that the woman named "Gwendolyn" would not be happy knowing that I was given her name, address, phone number, email address and car's VIN number! I am terrified to think about who may have gotten my sensitive information! Next... the person who called me (Lori) alternately asked for my patience because she was training.... and told me that I can be confident with her because she had 25 years of experience. Huh??? I was repeatedly called for more and more information using different phone numbers from differing areas in WNY. The person I spoke with (Lori) has never met me, and yet I was addressed as Jo, Jode, and Hon. And, she repeatedly commented on how beautiful and expensive my house is.... and how I must be doing very well. Neither professional nor appreciated! And, to add insult to injury, the insurance quote I received for my homeowners insurance was several hundred dollars more than I am currently paying (for identical coverage with a larger deductible). I am not sure how much my auto insurance would be since I received Gwendolyn's quote instead of mine. I'm still wondering (and terrified about!) who received mine. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
