I have paid my premiums on time and have never had a claim until this March 2012. First my agent told me that my homeowners did not cover this problem and would not file a claim. Good thing one of the contractors involved had insurance experience and insisted that it was covered. She finally filed a claim and was not nice about it to me. The adjuster came out and met with the contractor and after speaking to her manager they agreed to cover it. The adjuster, Marie Muller, also was not pleasant to me, the plumber or the contractor. Both these guys had to fight constantly with her to get anything covered and to keep the process moving. She never gave me anything in writing or answered my questions when I asked for something in writing or when I would get paid. As this started on March 16, 2012, it is now 1-May-2012 and it is still not fully paid. I spoke with 6 different people at State Farm and no one ever explained to me the process of a claim. All 6 were rude and nasty as though they are paying the bill from their paychecks. I have since changed insurance companies and so have both my daughters. I get more coverage for my car and home with lower deductibles and I am saving a total of $980 per year with Liberty Mutual.

After telling us that we were ready for closing, our realtor got a call informing us that they would have to postpone the closing because they had discovered another lien on the house that needed to be resolved. This was frustrating, but what was more frustrating was their inability/unwillingness to attempt to work around my schedule to close the deal. I was set to travel out of town, and rather than offering me the option of using a power of attorney or doing the closing virtually, they just told me that I would have to wait until I was physically back in the area. Even worse, when we should up for closing, there were numerous issues with our paperwork. They had not reviewed our packet before our arrival, so they didn't realize that they had put the wrong name for my wife on all the documents. Their lack of preparation resulted in us having to sit there for almost three hours before we could finally close. I paid far too much money to this company for this kind of experience, and I would advise anyone against doing business with this company.
