But I have worked with Judy (who has always been great) and more recently with Jason (also very nice). So points for hiring/keeping good staff. It's difficult for most NOLA folks to write a positive reviews of insurance companies, but State Farm treated me pretty well in the aftermath of Katrina. There have been some issues with family records getting confused and I'm not sure if that's a local agent issue or a national one. For instance, my birthday was listed as my Mom's at one point. They have offered me their refinancing packages repeatedly (for my house and my car) but I haven't taken them up on that. I just wish insurance in Louisiana (for EVERYTHING) wasn't stupid expensive.

I felt like I got the shaft from the dealership and I as I was getting my insurance, Emily with State Farms told me they did refinancing too. She did all the work for me to get refinance and then turned it over to Tommy in their office to finish the deal. With my work and the storm on the way, Tommy waited for me to get to DeRoche office and took his time and stayed after hours to finish my refinance paper work. Emily came to introduce herself as we did everything over the phone together. I cannot stress how great the service is and how pleasant my experience was! Immediately after that I was contacted via cell phone by State Farm rep Beaux Boudreaux. He gave me a fantastic rate and what's more important he gave me a very memorable experience. So much so that I immediately went from family, to coworker, to neighbor to let them know about that experience. Soon after my sister Dana Clark, my coworker Steve Do, and a few others went in to do business and were treated to better rates than they had with other insurance companies delivered with first class service. This really capped off a fantastic day for me. Everyone is happy when they get a new car, but the cherry on top was the great quote and amazing service.
