BEWARE..... DO NOT USE MATHEW CARTER! I used him for a small business work comp policy. At first he…read morewas great, but then something totally changed and he was all over the place. He started offering some unethical services. I spent almost a year trying to get beyond the mess he made of my work comp audit that I PAID him to perform. Only to find out later that was totally unethical on his part. He admitted that there was an error that one of his staff members made which cause farmers to continuously draft $46,000 out of my bank account month after month.Yes, you saw that figure correct! It would take seven to fourteen business days to get this issue resolved and my working capital to be released again. I'm a contractor and with no working capital, I cannot work! He offered me to file a claim on his errors and admissions insurance. I didn't even know what an error and omissions policy was until he gave me the info and told me the right thing to do would be to allow me to file. Then he turned around and blasted me with a nasty email with the insurance agent copied on the email. He actually put in writing that I was only looking for a pay day!!! I wrote complaints to anyone I could get an email to at farmers and even reported him to the insurance commissioner. His actions cost my company thousands of dollars in lost income and put a lot of stress on my small business. A few months after I left Farmers I got a call from another Farmers agency, during that call I was told Mathew was no longer with Farmers due to some unethical behaviors. I'm not sure if that part is factual, I keep waiting to see if there is a company name change and the farmers part gets removed. I do know what he personally put my company through and I will write a review on every platform I can find about him. People need to know that he doesn't care what his actions do to small companies, all he cares about is the money he makes from you. I cannot even rate him a star because personally I feel he shouldn't be trusted with anyone's insurance needs, to be able to post this review I'm forced to give him at least one star. I once sat in his office for over an hour trying to get my issue resolved and he was all over the place to the point that it was truly concerning. I sat there blown away that I had actually trusted this man with something I worked my whole life to build. I think the part that bothers me most is that he doesn't care! He didn't even try to make this right, instead he's making it where I have no choice but to take legal action against him, which will cost me more money.
