well..... have to update my review and will no longer be using Allure. I started with a nice haircut and then the owner pushed me off to other stylists who couldn't cut wavy hair. I never left with my hair styled, always was wet even in middle of winter! The last stylist would cut my hair dry and I would have to ask to have my hair wet b4 she cut ( evenly cut). The last incident is what ultimately had me change salons. I had a conflict out of my control and it overlapped with appt and they wanted me to pay for service anyway. I understand time is valuable but what about the times I came in and had to wait 20 min past my apt bcuz they weren't done with previous customer or charging full price for a cut and style but not knowing ' how I style my hair' is what I was told so I was usually leaving with wet hair so she would be on time for next customer. Always pushing product on me as well and sometimes I bought just to keep the peace, was irritating as you didn't see other clients being pushed - The feeling I got when I came in wasn't welcoming either so I think the move is well overdue. read more

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have been to the salon only a couple times and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Allure salon! EVERY BRIDE NEEDS TO COME HERE BECAUSE IT IS FANTASTIC! Chelsea was so helpful, kind, and patient when helping me book appointments for my wedding day and she went above and beyond to take the time to explain everything to me step by step so I know I don't have to worry on the big day! Sierra took one look at my inspiration picture for color that I wanted and she NAILED it!!! She also did my makeup and styled my hair a few months back for engagement pictures and I looked flawless and everything lasted literally all day long! Sierra and Chelsea worked together to go over the halo hair extensions that I am envisioning for my wedding day and it was so wonderful to feel so important and that they put me first and set me up with all of the follow up appointments needed so I am all set leading up to the big day and can RELAX! read more

I have visited many salons (because we move more than most people and because I am oldish) and this is by far one of the top salons. I chose them because they were an Aveda salon 2 years ago when I started coming. Everyone there is incredibly friendly, the vibe is perfect (not big city snobbish and not mom and pop rural) and the salon is obviously well managed. Brittany cuts my hair (kind of a precision mid length bob cut) and does an incredible job. I even had a lady in Downtown Madison tell me how good my haircut was. She is also very patient to answer all my questions about products. I highly recommend this salon for quality, value, comfort, and genuinely nice people. read more

A hairstylist Michaela was recommended to me by a friend, and I took a chance. Michaela was very friendly adjusted the hairstyle so it better fit my face, and I loved it so much. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful, one explained why it is good to rinse your hair in cold water. Another one was asking how a woman styled her hair and showed her the best way. I have never seen a salon this friendly, it was like out of a Hallmark movie in the best of ways. My mother was with me and hasn't gone to get her haircut in years, just has me trim it, she booked an appointment herself. read more

I've been with Allure Hair Design for several years and I really love this salon. Sierra is my hair dresser and she is great. She knows a lot about curls. She's a problem solver too. When I chat about the difficulties with my grey hair or curls, she'd always care about my concern and come up with nice ways to solve them. She's very sweet and easy to talk to too. She always makes me pretty. Everyone in the salon is kind and there is always the welcoming vibe there. I'm very happy that Allure Hair Design is in my town. read more

I've been going to Sierra for a year now and she has never let me down once! I trust her opinion and let her take free reign over my hair and the results are always gorgeous. All the other stylists are friendly and make conversation as well. This salon is such a safe space and I always recommend it to anyone who is looking to get their hair done. This was our first time at Allure Salon, I accompanied my daughter to her Eyebrow lamination appointment, Sierra was very personable and detail oriented, she gave my daughter exactly what she was looking for and did an amazing job! I had a Brazilian wax appt with Sierra and she was AMAZING! She was so friendly, professional, and extremely efficient. She made sure my experience was as quick and painless as possible while checking in frequently to ensure I was doing well. I go to Allure regularly. Kara cuts my hair. Katy walks and massages my back legs/ neck and arms with her FEET! it's Asiatsu. And it's amazing. I highly recommend this technique. The pressure Katy can ally can be very light. And it can be massive. Yesterday was massive pressure for my sore back shoulder. Katy is the best mass therapist I've been to. Outstanding personality. These ladies always do an amazing job! I took the risk (well, it was for me) to cut my hair short above the shoulder. I usually think that I can't pull it off-but took the plunge. Took my very picky teenage son in for a hair cut with Brittany Henfer today. This is the first time in a long time that my son has loved his hair.
