Had pedicure done, technician clipped my cuticle so low on my big toe that it bled. Did not use disposable bags in basin. Needless to say this was my first and last visit to this spa. read more

I was in The Point for a week of conferences; and after sitting in a trade show booth for three days straight, my back was killing me. Tiarah Day Spa was right up the road from our hotel, so my moms and I scheduled a little pampering session. First of all, prices are SO reasonable! $45 for a 60 minute massage? Okay! And it was quality... all the kinks and bumps were worked out of my back; and I left feeling like a stick of butter. My moms had a steam wrap, and is still raving about it weeks later. I'm new to the Point and after a week of unpacking and cold temperatures my hands were in need of some TLC. I was able to book an appointment for a spa manicure and it was just what my hands needed. The atmosphere is serine and Tia (sp?) was not only maticulous about the polish, but also took her time with the hand and arm massage. I was pleased with the entire experience and will be booking again very soon. While I did not book a pedicure, based on what I experienced, I will do so soon. Overall, a great experience. read more

I almost never get pedicures but I wanted to spoil myself a little. It was very easy to make an appointment and everyone was very friendly. My pedicure was amazing and I would definitely go back. My only complaint is a minor one - I didn't get to use the massage chair during my pedicure. Maybe it wasn't included with the pedicure I got (basic pedicure) but other than that, everything was amazing, and very reasonably priced. read more

Let me start by saying haircare is one of the only ways I treat myself and splurge. I have been to very pricey, swanky salons (for Wisconsin) and therefore have a good measure for comparison. I also have been with the same stylist for about 12 years and will drive 1 1/2 hours to see her, after a 2-3 week wait for an appointment. That being said, the salon at Tiarah Day Spa is, without a doubt, the salon I will be returning to in the future. After almost a year of chronic illness, I decided to treat myself to a much-needed haircut. So, while running errands in Point I called around to a few of the top-reviewed salons. Two of them did not return my message. Tiarah was able to make an appointment that day, and on the Thursday of Easter weekend, no less. Cool! After a tiring few hours of running errands, when I walked into the Spa area to check-in...wow. Instantly felt much calmer. I was greeted quickly and warmly, and invited to rest on the incredibly comfortable overstuffed couch. They have a nice selection of beverages available, and I enjoyed a drink of chilled filtered water. Some other customers were getting treatments in the area, but I hardly noticed: the set up seems well-planned and there's a serene atmosphere which made me completely forget that Highway 10 rush hours were happening just outside. Chelsey was my stylist that day, and I highly recommend her. Personable, sweet, attentive, AND I received a fabulous haircut (which she also styled for me to help me feel pretty, because of the damage chronic illness has done to my hair & body). Twelve years with the same stylist and I never received such a nice haircut. Chelsey is a great stylist and a lovely human being; her parents must have done something right and I sincerely look forward to another appointment with her. :) An hour at Tiarah gave me a mental and emotional boost that was very much needed. I can just imagine how wonderful the spa services are, and I will absolutely be back to find out. Thank you for an excellent first visit! Me and my sister went to get our nails done for her birthday here. We both got gel extensions and they are not done very well. They only have one girl who is able to do gel extensions, and the gel is uneven and lumpy, and there is no structure to them. Feels like they will only last a couple days before breaking off they are so thin and not structured. Do not recommend getting gel extensions from this place. Also will not give us a refund unless we sit through ANOTHER 4 hours to get them redone by the same girl who did them bad the first time. read more

I must have lucked out the first time! I recently repeated a Brazilian wax appointment here and had the same staff member. On first service, I did over-ride the suggested leg positions and stretched skin more than recommended. This last service, I must have forgotten. Services (at this location) were 3 months apart. This last experience was a haphazard lift-and-attack where she actually lost grip of the strips multiple times. No trimming was preformed- likely needed. Pulls were from every direction and done multiple times per area. Body/leg positions suggested were inadequate for skin stretching (why didn't I take over? gosh, I guess I don't know). I got home to find A LOT of skin is missing from very sensitive parts of my anatomy....which are now burning and covered in neosporin. This is the first time I've ever had a negative experience being waxed at a shop and the last time I'll revisit this place. Also of note: the room for waxing is not in sterile condition, not dusted and generally not in a tip-top state, the lighting is just very dim. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!! I got my hair cut on September 28 by Kristian. I brought in a picture of a layered bob. I was cutting off over a foot of hair and made sure I had pictures to show what I wanted. Kristian proceeded to butcher my hair. She did not give me anything remotely close to the hairstyle I requested. When I left the first time she had left a weight line in the back of my head that resembled a bowl hair cut with chucks of hair that were cut so uneven and choppy it was awful. The sides of my hair looked like "dog ears" that were not blended at all. I returned to the salon and spoke to the owner Lynn. I showed her the picture I had brought in and the back of my hair. Lynn explained that I would need to return to Kristian to fix my hair. I expressed I did not feel comfortable returning to Kristian but was directed by Lynn that this was the policy. Lynn was not friendly or helpful. In fact she sent me to a corner of the waiting room while she seemed more concerned with returning phone calls than addressing my horrible haircut. After focusing on returning calls she asked me in an irritated manner if there was anything else she could help me with. I advised I would like my money back and would like my hair fixed. Lynn advised me that because she was not present when the haircut took place there was nothing SHE could do to assist me and then inquired if I wanted my hair fixed today. I responded back to Lynn that I absolutely want my hair fixed today. I also repeated again that I was not comfortable returning to Kristian. Lynn seeming annoyed that I again expressed my concern in returning to the stylist who just butchered my hair advised me that it is not their policy to refund the haircut and that I would need to return to Kristian. Lynn then proceeded to walk away. Kristian walked up front to ring out her current client that she had just finished up with. I proceeded to advise Kristian of the issues with my haircut. She took me back to her chair were I advised her I did not want my haircut dry. She then proceeded to cut my hair dry. Kristian inquired what was wrong with the hair cut she had given me. I advised her that it was not the hair cut I had wanted and in addition I did not want a weight line in the back of my hair and requested that she please blend it. She seemed quite puzzled by what I meant which was alarming as my husband noticed how terrible the back of my hair looked immediately and Kristian was my only option available to fix this haircut per Lynn s policy. I had to walk Kristian through blending multiple times and point out areas that were longer. My hair was 1) MUCH shorter than what I requested 2) butchered beyond any recognizable hair cut and 3) not able to be fixed without cutting it even shorter.. Lynn- as a manger you should have offered to refund the customers money as soon as you heard and saw the situation, you should have offered to fix the hair cut either yourself or by another hairstylist, MOST ESPECIALLY after the customer expresses their concern to return to the stylist they are unhappy with. Do you honestly think that the customer in this situation is going to walk out happy and return again? The best and worst advertisement for any establishment is word of mouth. Kristian- if you don t know how to accomplish a hair style be grown up enough to either ask more questions or don t cut the customer s hair. I have two options to fix this. I can pay to go somewhere else to cut my hair into an even shorter hair cut or let it grow out looking terrible. Thank you Tiarah Day spa for a terrible hair cut, horrible customer service and for charging me for something that even Cost Cutters could have done better for less money. I would give Tiarah Day Spa NO stars if this was an option. read more
