I tried the rice dish with shrimp and veggies and it did not disappoint! Dishes are 6,500 or 5,500 for the vegetarian ones. No tip is automatically added so these make for a budget friendly option as far as Santiago dining goes. The owner prepares ALL the dishes herself and comes to greet you, and she is happy to make changes or cook the food as you wish. She speaks English and Spanish!

She wasn't sure about the sake menu so when we told her what kind we liked, she checked with her boss and he said the one we chose was sweet and we might like a drier bottle. The boss was right and we loved our sake. We went with the prime omakase which was an incredible selection. The two salmon belly varieties had fresh truffle on top and several of the pieces had a tiny grilled foie gras on top. Really decadent. But most importantly all of the sushi and sashimi was fresh and delicious. For dessert we shared the pistachio lava cake with vanilla gelato. Neither of us are big chocolate people so we were so happy to get a lava cake that was pistachio - so yummy! I hope this is a trend that catches on everywhere. The place was really crowded and popular, full when we left and I can see why. Definitely worth a visit!

There are ladders hanging from the ceilings and walls and plants and bikes decorating the place. You climb long winding staircases up to the second or third level to enjoy a meal. I ordered a sausage pizza with red and green bell peppers. The pizza was large, however didn't have much flavor. I couldn't find any sauce on the pizza and had to put a lot of spices sitting on the table on it, in order to give it more flavor. The service was good, and they were willing to easily split the bill for a large party.
