    Sampler
    Nilsa A.

Came here thinking it was a sushi bar. However, it was not but was pleased with the food. The sampler was large and very tasty. I ordered the crispy duck with the spicy noodles, oh my it was truly spicy and tasted amazing. The suck was perfectly seasoned and fried crisp, not greasy. The beef fried rice was also large portion and yummy. Definitely recommended.

This is a hidden gem in landstuhl! I don't remember what this dish is called but it was a beef noodle soup in a broth! It was awesome! Staff is super friendly and have really good recommendations on what to order:)

Item #93 (I think) - Panang Curry Beef with a side of white rice 13.50€= This was delicious but was a small portion. 3.8/5

Being from California and of Southeast Asian decent Alom Dee is pretty darn close to authentic Thai food I'm used too eating and cooking myself. I would give them a 4.4 star only because they are a bit pricey but worth it to get in Germany. I did take out and it only took 30 minutes so I don't know how their sit-in serves is. I ordered 4 different dishes that did not disappoint me or my taste buds and level of spice (I eat spicy so maybe ask them to not put any if you can't handle heat) Item #109 - Fried Crispy Tilapia with Spicy Mango Salad and Garlic Fish sauce (not pictured) and a side of white rice = It was very good! 4.5/5 just how I would make it at home so authentic but very pricey. Cost about 18€ but worth it since you can't get it anywhere else. Item #93 (I think) - Panang Curry Beef with a side of white rice = This was delicious but was a small portion and not to much veggies or protien. I've had better but this hit the spot for me in Germany. 3.8/5 it was not spicy for me and I wish the portion was larger for the price. Cost about 13.50€. Item #141 - Yum Woo Sen Chicken = This was a decent glass noodle chicken salad. 3.2/5 It was not as flavorful as Im used to ordered back in the California or making myself but its good for what it is. I just add to add a little more fish sauce and lime juice to cater to my taste buds but everything else was there. It cost about 12.50€. Item #1 - Minced Prawns and Pork Springrolls = This was an okay appetizer to get but not really worth it because it only came with 3 small pieces. 2.8/5 its not enough to share with anyone or for myself to eat. It really wasn't worth ordering unless you really want to try it. It cost around 4.50€. Overall I would order again from here. My entire order came out to be 50.90€ which wasn't bad because I typically order that much food for 2 people. If you have more people to feed this might not be enough so order more!

First time here. Just passing through and decided to get Thai food. It was a good experience. This place is not that large seating is on both sides, and not plentiful. The waitress was very nice, and they speak English. The food was excellent to me. I had the chicken spring rolls, and chicken pad tai.

Very good Thai food. Really, 3.5 stars. Some items are quite hot; too much so for my likes but that's a personal dislike. The food is tasty although many dishes have fish sauce as an integral flavoring, which I dislike (again, a personal thing). The meals are a bit smaller than other Thai places but still more than adequate for lunch. Alom Dee could expand as the interior has very limited seating/tables so some potential customers simply leave due to the wait time. I do like the food taste/quality here but it's not my favorite Thai place near Ramstein.

This little hidden gem is now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I was promptly greeted and seated in the clean dining area and pleased with how welcoming the English speaking servers were. All of my Thai favorites were on the menu and more items that I am anxious to try. The food was served hot and tasted so fresh and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed with the availability of parking and quick carry out services. This place does it all with excellence.

We just moved here and glad I found this place. It taste very authentic. It taste better than most of Thai places that I had back in the states. The spicy level is perfect. They give you a lot of meat also. Definitely coming back.

    Amazingly flavorful deep fried awesomeness!

This is one of my go-to Landstuhl eateries. The restaurant is super small and somewhat out of the way, but not at all hard to get to and totally worth the time. It's also totally walkable from anywhere in the Landstuhl area. The food here is on point. I am super addicted to their curries, particularly the Massaman and the Panang. Last time I got the Panang, it was a little too hot for me, with about a cup of those super spicy peppers in my serving, but was still amazing. The Massaman is a little more mild and really delish. Their Pad Thai is on point, with plenty of noodles and veggies, as well as whatever protein you care to add. I recommend avoiding the tofu chunks. Personally, I find them to be water-logged and not worth the valuable room in your stomach...fill up on the noodles. The coconut soup is awesome, especially with the (ultra intimidating) fruits of the sea. I don't like the terminology, but I love the outcome: mussels, squid, shrimp, all in a tasty, spicy broth. I don't recommend the sushi, all the pieces I've had there have been rather lackluster, dare I say, bad. Overall, worth the walk, worth the money and worth the calories.

    Quaint small place!

Ordered veggie spring rolls, coconut soup and veggies and noodle plate. All was very good and the waiter was very sweet. I ordered a beer and my spouse had a merlot.. or two...which she claimed was delicious. All for under 35€. We'll be back for sure.

You cannot go wrong with Thai food. This restaurant cooks authentic Thai cuisine. My favourite is the Pad Thai Gai (chicken pad Thai). The restaurant itself, is very small, and almost always crowded. They have a nice outdoor patio seating area. The service is always friendly. My only complaints would be that you have to write down your order yourself (had an experience where someone else in my group ate my meal, because it was brought out to the table). Also the food often does not come out together. Lastly, the menu is a little confusing, more pictures would help people order.

They are all about presentation which means you literally pay the price for the plating (very expensive, especially for Thai food!). It is connected to a hotel and was actually very quiet when we were dining in during lunch. It remained that way throughout our meal. Interior is pleasantly clean and bright! Chicken Satay - Chicken was cooked nicely. The meat was tender and juicy, although also a little bit oily. The peanut sauce was only okay. The small side of the Thai cucumber salad was definitely flavorless. Their vinegar dressing needed more sugar. Pad Thai - Good but not great. It does have that Pad Thai sauce taste (sweeter side), but didn't have any of the extra special *umph* when it came to the salty and spicy factor. Beef was overcooked and chewy. Curry Ma-sa-man - Liquidy. But I don't say it like a good or bad thing because this is preference (I like mine to have a bit more body and texture). Everything was cooked very well. I especially really like the potatoes and the peanut additions. The flavors were all there. Not a bad order. Would recommend this. It came with a generous portion of white rice as well. Overall, mediocre Thai food. I bounced back and forth between the 3 or 4 star rating. The whole experience overall was pleasant. We weren't impressed nor did they disappoint us. The service was friendly. The food took some time to arrive although we were the only guests, but that didn't bother me much. They may have a lot of things on the menu, but none really stood out to me. For instance, they have many different curry, but some are very plain. I even asked our server what was in the panang curry that you can actually eat besides the protein you select. She hesitated and answered "lime leaf". For those of you who cook with lime leaves or have accidentally eaten them before would know YOU DON'T EAT THEM. So I brushed that off. Ultimately, I'm afraid the quality just didn't quite justify their prices.

You will definitely notice the price inflation on the dishes here. They also pride themselves on food presentation if you are after Instagram worthy photos. I personally like hole in the wall joints that just slap the food on a plate and don't care to be bougee or need fancy plating. With that said, the food is good but not any better than Alom Dee or Thai Thai Orchidee. It's already expensive enough to dine out in Germany why pay more for the same quality food? I would recommend this restaurant if you want a date night experience to impress your date.

My cousin said she's wanted to try a Thai restaurant in town that she hadn't been. For tired travelers Thai food would hit the spot. This was my first time experiencing how Europeans dine where the Restauranteurs prolonging your visit. We went in about 7pm and didn't leave until 9:45 or so. They didn't want us to leave! Every patron was there at least 3 hours eating slowly and enjoying each other's company. No cell phones in sight...except for our table. We used our cell phones at our table to take pictures. No one seemed to mind us. Having your table all night is a very nice concept if you live there, but we wanted to eat and go back to my cousin's house due to jet lag. We all started off with Tom Kha soup with prawns. Excellent. My mom and my cousin had never had it and I explained the easy, but flavorful ingredients to them. They kept comparing it to a Filipino soup called ginataan, however ginataan doesn't have the same sour flavor and balance as this coconut soup has. I make this myself at home. My mom being the ultimate cook of my life, I was in shock that I cooked something that she didn't know how to make! We all ordered curry. My cousin and I had Panang curry and my mom ordered yellow curry. I got crispy duck in my curry and my mom and cousin got prawns. The food was as delicious as I expected it would The service was extremely slow. It took forever to get our food and forever to get the check. I can't knock a star off for this, however because it's meant to be this way. In the US we dine and they try to get us about of there as fast as they can to get a new table in your party. It's better for US servers because they only make 1 tip per table. In Germany they don't require any tip and my cousin told me that Germans in that area don't eat out often and when they do it's an experience that they savor. I get it. I really do. We asked for the check and probably got it over a half hour later. We were more than satisfied with our large meals that we also ate for breakfast the next day! I'm not sure if this is the only Thai restaurant in town, but it's a good one. I've had better Thai food in The States, but if I lived here I'd definitely be a regular.
