Dr. Honey and his team have been an extraordinary help since my dog had some complications…read more(pancreatitis, inflammation from diet intolerence, and a mass on her spleen all at once) about a year ago. They saved her life when she needed an emergency splenectomy, and we were crunched for time to get her pancreatitis under control first...I am forever grateful. My dog means the world to me, and I cannot express my gratitude enough! I have always been pleased with the vet care I have received at various places in town, however many vets in town do not offer 7 day a week service, and I was lucky that GVH were open when we needed to be seen urgently on a Sunday. Also, once stabilized from the pancreatitis, I was so glad to not have to transport my dog to the city to have her spleen-removal surgery, as she was in very fragile condition (due to the spleen-mass membrane being so thin), and I would not have wanted to make the drive with no medical supports for her en route. Dr. Honey and his team were able to perform the surgery locally and had the technology and precautions in place should blood transfusions be required etc. Dr. Honey was incredibly sensitive to my concerns and walked me through the whole process. He made an extremely scary and emotional time bearable, and demonstrated so much compassion. A year and a bit later, I continue to receive comprehensive options for my dog's ongoing care, as various different concerns have come up...as they tend to with middle-aged/ senior dogs. I have confidence that Dr. Honey will share info/options when it can benefit his patients. I've noticed some other comments about people feeling they are sometimes being told they need extra unnecessary tests etc.... but I appreciate Dr. Honey's comprehensive care, and feel supported in making the best possible decision for my beloved pet, based on having all the facts....and sometimes it's hard to have the facts without the testing etc...I can appreciate this :) Thank you so much Dr. Honey and Team for taking such good care of us!

This means you seek them out in a case of an Emergency. Meaning no other options are viable ones. Meaning you need to be seen despite any and all other factors. Including waiting. You have no other option. No other choice. So, you wait. To get done. What you need done. For the Love of Your Pet. The place has plenty of free parking. In Vancouver this is unheard of and we instantly appreciated it, especially in a time of distress over our Kitty. Once we entered, it was a bright, spacious, clean and welcoming environment. A coffee/tea station, kids area, 2 well maintained bathrooms, reading materials, comfortable seating, soothing radio and a water station. blankets, pet water bowls and beds are available upon request. The staff and Dr.'s are immensely knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Our Kitty had pain, got examined, treated and we left with medication that is, as we speak helping him tremendously with his condition. Thank you, Mountainside.

We saw the technician Erica and she was very kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, completely competent. I was mainly looking for advice and not treatment, as I can book in with my own vet tomorrow. This kept the cost down. We did not interact with the vet but Erica provided a report back from the Vet. I would highly recommend them.
