All in all it was a great experience and I wish I'd had all day instead of just four hours.

There are many special pools with different temperatures and even pools to be done in rotation based on the warm jets and their different levels of heating. There is an outside pool area and a special space to enjoy and relax with others. They have an opportunity to get a robe for 10 Franc and I say this is the way to do it because the robe can also be used as a towel and perfect to lounge around it with champagne or a spritz in hand. The lockers needed clearer instructions so here they are 1. Get wrist band from front desk upon check in. 2. Choose locker 3. Press with your finger the circle 4. Its lights up 5. Press your wrist band against it 6. a knob extends and locker is now open. 7.put all things in locker 8. Press extended knob with wristband until it stays in. 9. Your items are safe and only you can get them out with your wristband. 10. Have the best time with all the pools and saunas to rest, zen-out and enjoy!

We were both stoked to experience this mind blowing shrine to all things "aqua". Our first impression once we checked in was one of awe. Great room. Delicious world class cuisine included in your nightly rate. We booked a spa package which included a spa treatment for each of us. On line you don't know what time your treatments are booked for so you find out when you arrive. Ours were scheduled for 9am the next morning. We did go up to the spa area after checking in to change the treatment to a deep tissue massage. Thank goodness that was no problem. The next morning we both got massages from an awesome lady from Germany named Anya. We were treated like the queen and king of Austria. We loved it. The only reason this review isn't a 5 star rave is because of the following. This hotel is all about water. It's everywhere. Problem is that in all the pools, hot tubs and therapy baths the water is the exact same temperature. 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Anyone who has a jacuzzi eat home know there is a world of difference between 95 and 99. In my opinion they should keep at least a few of the bodies of water at 99. Don't let this stop you from booking your stay here. Just know that there are no steaming hot tubs here. Other than that it's a mind blowing great resort hotel.

I've stayed at Hotel Zugspitze twice now, and had good stays both times…read more Service is friendly (and english-speaking), even volunteering to call the local cable-car to confirm whether it was open or not before we drove out to it. The location is excellent, just a hundred meters or so from the main pedestrian area of Garmisch, but easy to drive to as well. There is some street parking nearby, but they also have a small parking garage for ~$10/day, which you probably want to reserve in advance if you think you might want a guaranteed spot. The rooms are traditional european, but everything is clean and well maintained. The mattresses have always been firm but not hard, and the showers in good shape. If you get lucky enough to have a room facing the street, you'll also get some amazing views of the Zugspitze itself! The amenities are excellent as well; the indoor pool area is lovely, and has both a pool and a good-sized hot tub. Breakfast is definitely above average as well! Overall a great choice in Garmisch; maybe not the cheapest, but a good deal for what you get.

This is not the nicest spa that I have been to, but it is still very nice. It functions like most German and Austrian spas. The spa portion is textile-free. My husband and I were with my sister, so we opted out of this portion, but the sauna area looked very nice. We enjoyed the pools~both outdoor and indoor. The outdoor pool has some nice shallow lying areas and different features that are on timers to move around the pool. This area was popular with children and families. Indoors, there is a sports pool that links to a small area with a float. There is also a separate water slide, which was extremely entertaining. Once done, the showers are perfectly nice and the restaurant (McAlps) inside is an "ok" choice for food, especially if you do not want to leave the complex.

I am IN LOVE with the sauna area and the killer view into the mountains. The saunas and steam rooms are textile free, so no bathing suits allowed. It takes some getting used to for foreigners, but it's really the best way to enjoy. I went to an "Aufguss", which means they keep the door of the particular sauna closed for a good 15 minutes while an employee adds scents and water to the hot stone inside and makes the whole room extra amazing and hot, hot, hot. Afterwards you can enjoy a nice plunge into the ice cold pool or rub yourself off with ice. They also have foot baths with hot and cold water to get your circulation going. An additional highlight was the cafeteria, believe it or not. Absolutely yummy foods like "Wurstsalat", "Currywurst" and the best soft pretzels I had during this entire trip. Will we be back? Hell yeah!
