It was a great experience at this hotel. After a long walk of 17km i ended up at the salt pool and couple of treatment and a hair cut. I have never been to a resort like this. This was an incredibly relaxing experience. The spa area is without swimsuit, but their were many pool areas to chose from (with swimsuit) if you are wanting more of a swimming family atmosphere experience. They had a great restaurant where I had a chicken Caesar salad and water. When you arrive you can purchase a kit that includes a robe and two bath towels. You can also get slippers if you need them. They give you a band that looks like a watch that you used to purchase items throughout the spa. Then you settle the bill before leaving. All in all it was a great experience and I wish I'd had all day instead of just four hours. read more

I wouldn't go back! This is not a spa it's a theme park Just to name a few things: - No towels (spas offer towels everywhere) - No water near sauna to drink (only one drinking fountain in the sauna area) - One cold plunge not near saunas (you cool off before you get to it) - Different price than website states - You have to buy a pass to the loud play area and then another pass to the more relaxing sauna areas. - The water was not hot! Not even a little. I had goose bumps in the pool - Infrared lounge was not working - No one showed me around, or gave me a talk about where things were. I spent part of my time just trying to find things. - No staff to help - the staff I did find didn't speak English - Way over priced for what it is! Maybe if you have kids you might enjoy taking them to a fancy pool, but that's all this place is. read more

Amazing facilities. Big pool area for family swimming! Great 'lazy river' takes you to the base of the tower where you can access the three pools suspended in air. Each one is a different temperature, though all suitable for soaking depending on how warm you like it to be. The sauna area has several themed saunas - very clean, very attractive - and two soaking pools that we found to be a little too cool for soaking. No swimsuits on the sauna side. The best way to do this is to stay in the adjoining hotel, in which case, access to the pools and saunas in included in the (rather hefty) price of your room! Some of the stand alone establishments (like Therme Erding or Mediterana in Germany) are quite a bit more expansive and extravagant, but the high marks for THIS place goes to the glory of sitting in a suspended pool of hot water surrounded by the Austrian alps. It is safe to say that the Aqua Dome in Oberlängenfeld is one of the nicer thermal spas out there. You don't have to take (only) my word for it, the facilities have numerous accolades under their belt as being among the best in Europe. Part of what makes this facility special is its location, which is in the middle of a valley between the Alps. Seriously, you cannot beat the view when you're in any of the outdoor thermal baths. The other part which is great here is how everything is set up, which can be described in one word as "smooth". Robes and towels are available upon arrival, and any services, additions or food/beverages will automatically be charged to the tile gizmo watch which you're supposed to wear. No need for actual payment upon receipt of your additions, the wrist band keeps track of everything for you and allows you to pay when you're ready to leave. The facilities itself are beautiful, there are numerous thermal baths with different temperatures, including a salt bath (this is the second out of three floating bowls in the outdoor area). Make sure you read the recommended bathing times and warnings before entering, this is pretty important. Also keep in mind to remove all silver jewelry, it doesn't fair well with the mineral content (specifically sulphur) of the water. The relaxation lounges are quite nice, with the oversized reclining loungers overlooking the mountains it is easy to relax. If you choose, there is a decently sized solarium available for a nominal charge as well as infrared sauna cabins (included). For those unfamiliar with European sauna etiquette here's a heads-up; the sauna area at Aqua Dome is a mixed nude zone, no clothing or bathing suits allowed. This (the naked part) is pretty standard, though usually it is not as strict and clothing tends to be optional. AD cuts through all the red tape and just straight up calls it a "textile free zone". If this isnt for you, fret not. You'll miss out on the different varieties of saunas, but you can still make use of the other facilities. Bathing suits are worn in the thermal baths and other common areas, which are separated from the saunas by a long hallway. All dressing rooms at Aqua Dome are mixed where men and women share the same areas, but if you prefer there are several small changing stalls available. Showers are separate rooms (with a door) and are separated by male/female. Showers are divided by glass partitions but there's no curtain or door - so again, if you value your privacy and none of this sounds okay.. then this is definitely not the place for you. I feel like half of this review consists of warnings, but I want to make sure that people are aware of these things before it's "too late" (imagine that surprise, lol!). A day at the aqua dome in Langenfeld Austria has surely got to down as one of the most pampered I've ever felt. Open all year round and located in the austrian alps, the hot springs of Langenfeld seems unreal as you lounge in futuristic looking bowls of oddly warm water in such an isolated destination. It is family friendly with a specific kiddies pool with water slides, while the dome also offers a lazy river, salt water lagoons and in pool jacuzzi's. A full day costs around 24 euros For an extra 10 euros you have access to the adult only sauna areas with several sauna's and steam rooms (all massive and catering to different heats), an ice room, plunge pool and also an indoor waterfall that runs hot, cold or misty at the touch of a button. Upon entering the dome you have a high-tech stone watch like thing attached to your arm and anyfurther things you decide to pay for in your time there are charged to this. This included the food (which was reasonably pricey for what it was but obviously not the main speciality of the dome), but manicures, pedicures, massages etc were all available at reasonable prices should you wish to have a treatment. The service in this place was impeccable and I left feeling positively brilliant.
