    The sweet pancakes and applesauce in the foreground, and strudel to the right.

    We ate lunch here after touring Neuschwanstein castle. They were able to seat our spur of the moment small crowd, get us fed in a timely manner, and the food was delicious! I had the excellent goulash and bread. Our friend had schnitzel and it was better than any I had in Austria. We ordered sweet pancakes and applesauce for dessert, and our friend got apple strudel. Both were fantastic. Memorable and delightful experience!

    In the shopping area below the castles, Alpenstubn is a perfect stop to rest your feet and fill your belly. This is the first place we found with Sauerbraten and this sealed the deal as our pick. My husband really wanted the authentic dish however, across the region, we are told this is a winter dish not served until November. We grabbed a table in the patio and the menu is in both German and English. The waitresses speak English too. I'm not getting much practice as it is not difficult to find someone with sufficient fluency eager to use their English. The food was quick out of the kitchen and very good. The Käsespatzen was a huge portion with a beautiful flavor of roasted onion, topped with crispy onions and chives. My husband said that his sauerbraten was exceptional. From the beef to the red cabbage and Knödel. Great lunch. Great service. Close spot.

    This was some of the best food I had in Germany! Wasn't expecting too much from this restaurant near Neuschwanstein Castle as it's a very touristy spot. Our waiter knew the menu inside and out. The food can out so fast that it was like they read our minds before we ordered. Everything was hot and fresh. The currywurst and apple strudel were insanely good! Do not skip this place if you find yourself out here exploring. The castles!

    This was a decent restaurant in town with a nice patio. Service was nice as well. I had the potato cakes with the apple sauce. This was not that good, but I didn't have high expectations. My friend got some sort of pork thing with fries. She said it was pretty good. Later we went for ice cream because we couldn't find anywhere else to get real ice cream. This was pretty good and again good service.

    We arrived on a rainy day to see the swan castle. This was the only restaurant that was opened when we were looking for lunch. The restaurant was very crowded and clearly not enough waiters and waitresses. We waited pretty long for both ordering and paying. The food was decent and portion was big. I was pretty satisfied.

    This restaurant is connected to a hotel. Their food was good. Staff was very friendly. Food can be very feeling if you order too much however the staff can advise of this as well. The Turkey and rice was definitely amazing! The pancake dish was delicious and a lot. It's definitely enough to share with others. Their Apple strudel was delicious. This place is at the bottom of the hill of the castles. If you don't pay attention you could confuse it with being a shop. Inside is nice and cozy. Bigger than you would think. Tables for big and small groups. It was nice and warm for a cold day. They also have free wifi.

    We came here for a late lunch because we were turned away elsewhere. We were gestured towards whichever table to sit at and when asked which dish to get-burger or sausage, the waitress told us to get the more expensive dish (hamburger). This is usually a red flag for me. They have a small beer menu-pilsner, hell, etc. The burger came on an interesting black bun. Just ok along with just ok fries. I got the Austrian pasta which are similar to spinach filled ravioli. Good but not great and so very greasy. Served with cheese and tomato. For about $48 US for two for lunch I was not impressed. But it's a tourist area so I suppose that's what you're paying for.

    We were staying in Neuschwanstein for a few days and a local person recommended this restaurant. We were very pleased we stopped here for dinner! Excellent German food and great customer service!

    Really nice spot in a touristy area....The food was really good and fresh and the service was very attentive. Goulash was amazing with tons of flavor and spaetzle was really good as well!

    The food and service was outstanding The atmosphere was elegant very very prestige type restaurant.

    Roast beef with bread dumpling and sauerkraut

    We sat outside and it was very pleasant. We ordered side salads and they were delicious. I ordered the roast beef with bread dumpling and sauerkraut. The bread dumpling was like American stuffing which was good. The sauerkraut was a little too sour for my taste. The roast beef was good and the gravy had a little seasoning that I had not had before. It was okay. My wife ordered the pork medallions with spätzle and it was delicious. Our friends ordered the weiner schnitzel and fries. They both loved it. All in all the meal was good for €150.

    A nice little place near Neuschwanstein castle. We ducked into it and waited out a rainstorm with some ice cream and coffee. They were nice to let us sit for a bit after we finished. We wish the weather had been more cooperative as they had a nice patio. You may have to track someone down to order as we did, but after she realized we were there she was great!

    Soup! So good amazing flavor

    Great outdoor seating with heaters on a day when it was a torrential downpour! Amazing food, I thought tourist destination this is going to be overpriced and horrible, but boy was I wrong! The soup was sooo good, full of flavor and served with warm fresh bread. I got the spetzel which is made with the local happy cow cheese; it's very stinky, powerful, and I loved it! It was too much for my husband and I would Recommend sharing as it's very rich. I also got a wonderful side salad with a mix of veggies including radish, carrots, tomatoes, corn, multiple lettuces; very impressive considering it was just a side and the location.

    Sauerbraten = spectacular!

We walked in and seated ourselves and were quickly welcomed by our server. The radler and lager were both really good. I got the Allgäuer Kässpätzle, which was incredible. It was super cheesy and flavorful. My bf got the Zwiebelrostbraten, which was also really good with the steak perfectly cooked. Then we got two desserts to spilt and I couldn't tell you which one was better. The Apfelstrudel was warm and not too sweet and the "Bier"amisu was unique and absolutely delicious. Schloss Brauhaus provided a warm and comfortable place to get out of the rainy cool day we had and some great beer and food!

I ended up leaving before having any food because they took so long to take my order, even after I politely requested for service to a few waiters. They informed me that my waitress would arrive to take my order soon, but this never occurred. There was a waitress who had provided the menu, who I thought would be the one to take my order, but she just stared at me strangely almost as if I didn't exist? I never write Yelp reviews, but this service was so abysmal and strange that I had to write it down. Was the worst part of my trip to Füssen.
