arrived to Hirsch Hotel late Sunday evening, and were lucky because restaurant was still open! Lady at Reception suggested to get dinner with traditional bavarian goose, which is very popular at mid October! And it was very very delicious with red cabbage! and local lager beer paired with meal perfectly

OMG! This is an amazing Bavarian experience The menu had many traditional dishes worth a twist and some more that are far from traditional. Bora was fabulous, there for us art every turn. More to come.....

Excellent spot, with friendly, attentive service. We ate in front room rather than the main dining area but enjoyed good. The pork two ways was excellent, and a huge portion. Same with the venison gulasch. Between the venison and the Maultaschen (oversized ravioli), you can get some good German specialties. I'm sure the desserts are good too, but I recommend heading into town: the gelato place on the left hand side of the main drag is incredible. Get the hazelnut.

I had the Gulash Von Hirsch (Venison). It was the best venison I have had! Great food.

I got the Calabrian bouillabase and my partner got the seafood tagliatelle, and both were amazing! The bouillabase was just the right amount of spicy with the Calabrian chiles, and it had huge pieces of 2 types of fish, giant prawns, oysters, clams, and shrimp. My partner liked the salmon and prawns in his pasta. Service was excellent, and the owners spoke German, Italian, English (and probably more languages given the region's proximity to multiple countries). We didn't have a dinner reservation so were seated outside on the charming patio (2 sections, one with heaters close to the restaurant, and the other further away with blankets).

The chef recommendations we had were all nice, including the tuna and swordfish carpaccio and the different seafood entrees we chose. The pizza was also very nice. Some of the staff were friendly and more attentive than others. We understood that we went on a busy night, but two tables who were seated quite a while after us both got their meals a long time before we did. Our appetisers took 70 minutes and our entrees took about 85 minutes to arrive. We asked about the food about an hour in and were told "it's very busy, you need to be patient". Only when we pointed out about the other two tables having eaten did our food arrive. BEWARE; they charge €6.50 for tap water! We questioned it and the woman said "it's not like America, it's normal here". Firstly, we are English and French, not American. Secondly it was our third night in Germany and our seventh time dining out and this was the ONLY place that charged for tap water! The food is also more expensive than anywhere else we ate at in Fussën. Good food but poor service from some of the staff. We went for dessert elsewhere.
