I REALLY enjoyed our stay at the Alpestre and would definitely stay here again. Great location only a couple of blocks from all the restaurants and stores in Gramado.
We were in town for Natal Luz, which we didn't have tickets yet for and the receptionist went above and beyond in order to get us tickets to the show! The staff here are all incredibly friendly and helpful to say the least. I think there are some other more famous places to stay in Gramado, but I am definitely glad I found this place.
Our room was very clean and comfortable with a great view and a nice patio. There was a/c which is important in the heat of December lol. We didn't get to use about half the amenities they offered because we were here so quick, but our stay couldn't have been better. The hotel makes you feel like your somewhere in the Swiss alps as opposed to southern Brazil and the aesthetics were really impressive.
That's all great, but what really blew me out of the water was the breakfast (which was included with our room). Maybe I've become to use to the kind of bfast we get in hotels in the states which is. Itching to write home about, but man was this place different. One of the nicest hotel breakfasts I've encountered with everything you could think of. It was difficult to believe it was included with out room (which was really affordable). More types of cake than I could try, all different cheeses, breads, eggs, it was quite the spread that I even forgot to take pictures. You can eat outside where they have a large deck overlooking the pool and there is greenery all over you. Very impressive.
I wouldn't change a thing about our stay here and will hopefully find myself in Gramado sometime soon in the near future. read more
