Pups went in with a little hesitantly, we talked about the dogs situations etc .. they told us their procedures! A few hours later we're able to pick up our well groomed, beautiful and handsome pups that smelled and looked terrific! We are thankful for Dexter's Dog Parlor!

The mats had become so tight that they were pulling at his skin and causing real discomfort. Catherine at Paws Required Grooming Salon was an absolute angel. She approached Rocky with patience, gentleness, and deep understanding. Even with some growling and kicking (understandably!), she was able to safely and skillfully remove the most painful mats. What stood out just as much was her kindness and willingness to educate us throughout the process. You can truly feel the care and experience here. They also offer the TheraClean treatment, which is a huge bonus for pets needing extra skin and coat support. We're beyond grateful and would recommend them to anyone--especially if your pet needs extra compassion and expert care.

As you know from my previous yelp!s all I have to do is say lets go see Miss Catherine all four are up and their tails are wagging. The shop is CLEAN, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. One of the things I appreciate is they pay attention changes in them the Std.s are 13 & 14 years old so lumps and missing fur that I might overlook they point out. They all received their annual shots shortly before their last Grooming and one of the younger Pups had swollen area on her left shoulder, it was small and I would have missed it. I showed it to the Vet and it's not a problem but they care about the Dogs and I know you do not get that everywhere. .

I'm giving two out of five stars for a few reasons…read more Dr. Wade does seem capable and knowledgable and she clearly has a passion for animals. That said, her time management could definitely use some improvement. I scheduled our first appointment, and the day before, I was asked to move it up an hour, which I agreed to. Then, on the day of the appointment, there was another request to switch back to the original time. I held back my frustration, as although I agreed, I was forced to rearrange our calendar at short notice. Regarding our second visit; shortly after confirming the 10:30AM appointment, I received a text asking if she could come an hour earlier, as she was apparently trying to accommodate another client. I agreed, but then received another text shortly thereafter asking us to return to the original time of 10:30AM. Honestly, it feels like there's a perception that people don't have busy lives and that the onus is on the client to accommodate her other patients. It's inconvenient and causes difficulties for people. The next morning Dr. Wade showed up at 9:15AM, 75 minutes early, insisting that leaving an unanswered voicemail and text justifies disregarding our scheduled appointment time. I turn my phone off at night so I did not get her communications; meaning that she got no affirmation that that would be okay with us. Dr Wade claimed that her patients appreciate it when she arrives early. Ten or 15 minutes might be okay, but I am confident that most people do not think that showing up early an hour and a half plus in the AM is acceptable. It wouldn't have stuck in my craw so much however, when I attempted another honest discussion with her regarding this issue, instead of accepting responsibility, Dr. Wade claimed that perhaps I was confused with another veterinarian who services our area. I had to acknowledge to myself what I was dealing with and quickly lost all confidence in her willingness to address the situation honestly. Humility is a virtue and I sincerely hope that that once Dr. Wade is a bit more seasoned, she might realize the importance of being more considerate towards clients in that aspect of her business. In any case, this is the second time (out of two visits) that the scheduling has inconvenienced us and that really isn't conducive to a good client/doctor relationship in my opinion. Another concerning issue is that Dr Wade insists that you order medications from an online pharmacy that is directly linked to her website. Not surprisingly, the pricing is significantly higher than regular avenues like Chewy, Costco, CVS and even our own compounding pharmacy. Further, there is a required $19.95 "expedited 3 business day delivery fee". This is another problematic hoop to jump through. Because of the exorbitant pricing, I had to insist that she call in the script to my preferred pharmacy. She did, but with the following text message, which I found to be dismissive and brash: "We just got your text. We were closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. We got Chewy's email. We'll give a verbal approval this one time." I will say that Dr. Wade seems up-to-date on testing, treatments, and studies related to pet care, which we did appreciate, but her platform just isn't the right fit for us. I would suggest contacting Midway Veterinary, Dr. Holland has been in the business for 40 years, the office is very accommodating and the staff is fantastic.

I've been texting back and forth with Mary of Groomalicious over the course of 7 hours setting up a…read moretime to groom my medium 70 lb furbaby. Initially, it was to get her nails trimmed but I then brought up a full groom. She wasn't available until Monday so we reverted back to setting up appt to get her nails trimmed. At that time she told me that she only grooms small dogs which is something that should've been said prior to attempting to set up an appt for Monday. After several texts back and forth, she asked if I could come in the 9 am the following morning for the nail trim. I asked for something a bit later to which she responded, "I'm going to have to pass on the nail trim I'm sorry I just have a bad back and can't do big dogs". Why did she waste my day when I relayed the size of the dog and sent a picture?! It's not a good business practice to keep a customer "on the leash" for close to an entire day and then end it saying they have a bad back. I'm seriously disappointed in how she presented herself and then let me down. I will not be recommending her as there are enough groomers in the area that don't misrepresent their businesses.

I was walking my dad's Shitzu in his neighborhood when I met Mary. She was dog sitting in the…read moreneighborhood and had seen my dad and his dog before. The dog was badly in need of grooming....his regular groomer was not available. We were also dealing with my dad's hospitalization. Mary said she could groom the dog on Christmas Eve. During the grooming, Mary discovered a sore on his back side. She let me know that I should take him to get checked out at the vet. Turned out to be somewhat serious and he was put in antibiotics. If not for Mary, he would have suffered in silence. Oh and the grooming job was great too! Thanks to Mary for helping us during a time of stress!

A woman came outside to take my dogs. When I asked if I could come inside, the woman rudely told me no. I found that also very strange. Why isn't there a reception area so that you can walk in? Assess the shop and decide if it meets your standards. I have no idea if the place is filthy. I have no idea what kind of dogs are inside and if they are contained. Another thing that struck me odd after I was not permitted to come in is that I was never asked to provide my dogs vet records. That brings to mind of transmittable diseases for dogs that aren't vaccinated. When I was told my dogs were ready for pick up same rude woman came outside with her handheld point of sale. I did not see my dogs until I paid the bill. Problem One: do not like not being permitted inside to see what kind of sanitation or animals are in the shop. Problem two: very rude woman who has one word answers is the first person that is seen for the establishment. It's not a good look. Problem three: not being able to see the work that has been done but being charged before you can retrieve your pets is completely unacceptable. I won't be coming back. I give this shop 1 only because the booking was convenient.

Very specifically advised to trim his face & paws, leaving his body long as it was winter time. upon arrival to pick him up, we were, again, not allowed to enter the shop. My dog came out COMPLETELY buzzed! The trimming of his ears is uneven and looks HORRIBLE! With my shock & horror over his appearance and stating this was not at all what was requested, the gal only said "that will be $70.00". Needless to we will never use this groomer again and to trust your instincts :(

Even though Oliver was a snake and not your typical pet, resting rainbow took great care of him and he returned home in a beautiful engraved box. They gave my husband great comfort that his buddy was in good hands. I highly recommend them.
