I am making this review for my husband who loves this place. We found it recently when looking for a trendy haircut for our 3.5 year old son. The barber did a bang up job so quickly - our little guy looked instantly cool and watching him work was so fun - spinning clippers and stuff. Once my husband saw the vibe of this "man cave" place he decided it's his new hangout spot. . Since then he's gone for a mani and pedi (man style, lol) and a massage. No chit chat about the Super Bowl, politics, etc....just a professiona,l no nonsense haircut with a lot of attention to detail. My wife loved it. I don't recommend you going to this barbershop based on past reviews, don't make the mistake I did. I showed up, no one wanted to work, the one barber that attended me really nice guy good conversation only been in the states for 6 months. Long story short, he ruined my beard to the point that I had to fix it myself when I got home because one side was shorter than the other. And to top it off it's super over priced at 70 dollars when it was just a head shave and a beard line up. read more

First time here and I had a great experience. I walked in and there were able to take me right away. Felix cut my hair and did a great job. He took his time and used four different trimmers. He went over the edges several times and finished with a straight edge razor. This location had several chairs and at least six barbers working. We stopped by for father's day so the kids could treat my husband to a shave and pedicure. Wow, was it a treat for him. He got a great shave, steam facial, hot towel and left feeling like a king. Received a haircut from Amir. I scheduled a haircut and beard trim. The appointment started 10 min late which is not a huge issue but after everything it should be mentioned. I showed him pictures of the haircut I was looking for since it was my first time coming to Alpha. He cut my hair way too short and rushed through it. When he said we were done I was surprised but thought I might not have booked the beard trim. Upon checking out I realized he was charging me for it. He clearly forgot and tried to still charge for it. He did not trim any of my beard at all. Did not line up the sides or neck. Did not straight blade razor or anything. Did not so much as touch any of it with the trimmer. Guy next to me received all of this. When I mentioned that he didn't trim my beard he then tried to say "he did and could brush it out". I agreed to whatever that meant. I asked him to just clean it up a bit. "Clean up the edges and take a little bit of length off". He cut my entire beard off. My beard was 2-3 inches long in places. He cut it down to a #1. And left random patches of long hair. Did not shave my neck. Did not apply aftershave and said "okay thanks all done". Side note: his knuckle was bleeding all over and he just left it like that... This place claims to be a high class men's barber shop. I'm not sure if Amir was having a bad day or if this is an indication of a major issue with lack of care and skill at this barber shop. Giving two stars because it looked like other people received decent haircuts. read more

It's one of the only places I know in the area where they actually ask you if you want coffee or something else to drink while you're waiting to get your haircut. This was a horrible experience! I have (had) fairly long hair and asked Amir to take an inch off and just clean it up. When I started seeing 3-4 inch pieces falling down I reminded him that I didn't want it that short. He insisted that it wasn't short and that he would blow it out.
