Lonnie did a phenomenal job removing a massive Madrone that succumbed to blight, its massive dead limbs overhanging my roof & fence. Especially because i needed it logged out for planing into boards! Other places wanted to use cranes that wouldn't fit the space, for a pretty penny. At lower cost, Lonnie came up with an extremely creative solution to safely take it down, studied the complex tree thoroughly and efficiently, talked me through his plan, then executed it flawlessly, communicating about his next moves and his awareness of the strength/weakness of the Madrone the whole time. Five Stars for me. Alpha Tree Care came out to quote several projects at my house. The job was take out 2 trees, repair a winter damaged tree and get all the overgrown trees and shrubs pruned and trimmed in the fall. Lonnie, the owner, while there immediately noticed one tree needed immediate care as the tree was splitting apart. He quoted the entire job very reasonably, he said he'd come back the very next Friday to take care of the split tree and he is scheduled to come back in the fall to take care of the rest of the work. HE CAME BACK to fix the injured tree on Friday and did an excellent job! I watched him. He knows what he is doing. I can't wait until he takes care of my trees and shrubs in the fall. Very professional and hard working. I had a huge area of blackberries removed, these guys even worked all day in the rain. Then I had a large dead tree removed and another tree pruned. Not only did he get the tree removed and every trace of it gone, but he also removed 6-plus years of dead leaves that had become the ground cover. You pay for what you get, and the money I invested in these jobs was money well spent. We've used Alpha Tree Care for a few jobs around our house. They felled a few trees in the front yard that leaned dangerously close to our home that could easily be blown over in high winds due to being planted on a ledge. They have also trimmed tree limbs, trimmed our front hedge (though I am not sure if that is their primary service) and cut back some bamboo invading from a neighbors lawn. Excellent service. Lonnie came out promptly at the scheduled time. Made a very fair estimate to remove a 45 ft tree and trim the arbor vitaes that had been damaged by heavy snow. We called Lonnie with Alpha to get a quote and he seemed to be capable. Not entirely business like in that he didn't produce a written quote but we were ok with that. We spoke to him several times about scheduling because we had just purchased the house and had several contractors coming in behind him to remove the grass and build a fence. Well the day he was to begin work he called to say he wasn't comfortable taking down the tree. Really screwed us at the last minute! Would not recommend! read more

We had a SUPER Large Old Cherry Tree that came out of the ground in a "V". It has been here for more than 50 years and had a Huge hole in one of the trunks and a couple of large dead limbs on the other side. It was a beautiful tree however it was time to go. It was already cabled together in three places and if it fell this winter in a windstorm it would have taken out the neighbors house as it was leaning that way. Lonnie gave us a more than a fair price and was very professional. He showed me the area that he would use to drop every branch and then every log so I could clear the area. Every branch and cut log hit this area and nowhere else I was impressed to say the least. Part of the tree on one side was over A waterfall and small pond. I covered it somewhat just in case but even so one heavy log would have smash it. Not one piece even got close. When they were done with the cleanup I said "I thought you were going to leave a mess". Sure there was sawdust from cutting but that was it and was easy to rake up on my yard cleaning. We would definitely recommend him to anyone and will call him again if the other tree in front needs trimming. read more
