I have been a customer for over 10 years, the first 8 years or so were great! Not many issues at…read moreall. In fact, none I can remember that amounted to anything. Then, they were bought out by another bank about 2 years ago. That's when everything went to shit. They started charging monthly account fees on all of my accounts without making me aware of this change. They sent a new policy on overdraft fees in the mail, which they could have easily added in the new account fees to make customers aware of this 8$ fee per account ( which is even higher for businesses). When I confronted them about it, they referred me to a chart about minimum daily balances, etc. to avoid being charged the fee. So, I made sure my account was within the rules provided. But guess what? I still am being charged an $8 fee each month. This is nothing short of theft. My family had 5 accounts with this bank at one point and now are down to only 2. I have moved my business account to Alpine Bank, who are not only much friendlier but do not charge a fee each month. In fact, they pay me interest on the money I have in their accounts! I really hope they change their ways and put the customer first. Otherwise, they will not have a place in this valley much longer. Word of mouth is a powerful tool, and I certainly won't be telling my friends of any good experiences about this institution.
